Thanks for the feedback about outlines. This is the first release, so it is still in its infancy. We will be working on performance issues in future releases as well as getting it to work more optimally on smaller screens.

As for the "delete checked" feature. Its there, inside the action button in the top right corner.

Can you please create a support ticket for this so that we can look into your account and see what the problem is?

Thanks

It would be easier to focus on one tool, but you can use Excel if you want. Just be aware that if you export your tasks to Excel, make changes and then import them back into Toodledo, it won't update the original tasks. Instead it will add duplicates. We've had a few people get confused by this before. Import is import, not sync. We don't have a "sync with file" option yet.

Our first priority was making sure that the app worked on iOS8 at all. This took a considerable effort since Apple always likes to change things with new OS versions. Our next step will be to evaluate and implement iOS 8 specific enhancements such as widgets.

Our iOS app has been updated for compatibility with iOS8. But, we didn't stop there. This update also includes:

* Outlines Section - Full support for Toodledo's Outlines section in the app.
* Sharing Tasks - Support for creating shared tasks from within the app.

You can download version 3.2.6 now from the iTunes App Store.

If Toodledo helps you be more productive, please consider giving us a rating/review in the iTunes App Store. Even if you have rated us before, you can rate us again with each new update that we release. It really does help us to have good ratings.

Can you please create a support ticket or tell us why you were not able to get to the top right corner?

Unfortunately, no. Google has discontinued this feature. However, you can try using our "Bookmarklet" instead which does a similar thing and may work for you.

Today we are releasing our new redesigned homepage. This is what you will see when you are signing into Toodledo, and what new users will see before they decide to create an account.

The new homepage was designed to have a more modern look and feel and to better communicate Toodledo's advantages to prospective customers.

We have kept the signin button in the same location so it shouldn't be a disruption for existing users, but otherwise it has been totally changed. Since people new to Toodledo don't have any expectations of how the homepage is supposed to function, we felt that it was safe to replace everything in one fell swoop. When it comes to redesigning the internal parts of Toodledo we will be more conservative to avoid disrupting your productivity by making the site less familiar.

Some of the key concepts that we were going for with the new home page were:

Responsive
This means that the page reformats itself appropriately regardless of the size of your screen. Don't you hate it when you go to a webpage on your phone and the text is too small to read and you have to pinch and zoom and scroll to see anything? That's what our old website was like. Tedious! Our new homepage looks just as good on a phone or tablet as it does on a full-sized monitor. This is how the web should work and is the direction that we are going with Toodledo. Eventually, you'll be able to use our entire website from a phone sized screen without a compromised experience.

Equal Weight Sections
Our old homepage only talked about Tasks; as far as new users knew, Toodledo was just a to-do list. But as you know, we are so much more than that now! Our new homepage gives equal weight to all four Toodledo sections: Tasks, Notes, Lists and Outlines and provides more information about how Toodledo functions as a complete productivity tool.

More Information, Less Text
Our old homepage had a lot to read, and a website typically only has a few seconds to capture the attention of a new users, so we decided to make our new homepage more visual. There is actually much more information about each Toodledo feature, but it's now on-demand, so when you click on a feature that interests you, an explanation will be provided at that time. We've also added several tutorial videos that explain how Toodledo works in a visual way, so users don't have to do a lot of reading if they don't want to.

Refinements
We have refined the colors, typography, buttons, icons, boxes and other elements of the site to make them cleaner and more cohesive. In the coming weeks and months you'll see these elements trickle down into the internal pages of Toodledo as we move onto the next phases of our site redesign.

Hope you like it!

The app was designed to use 1 Toodledo account. If you have two accounts, your best bet is to use a 3rd party iOS app that syncs with Toodledo. There are a number to choose from, you can find a list in our "Tools" section above.

I'd like to introduce the newest member of the Toodledo team. Bridget is our new Interaction Designer who will be helping us redesign and improve Toodledo across all of our products. She has a strong background in ID and UX design and has already done some great work for us over the last few months, which we are getting ready to release.

We know that people are familiar with the way Toodledo currently works, so we aren't going to make any sudden big changes. We'll make changes in a bunch of small phases (baby steps) to avoid disrupting anyone's productivity by making the website less familiar. Any changes that we make will be careful and thoughtful. Our goal is to make Toodledo easier to use and more efficient.

Our plan may change as we progress, but here is our current roadmap.

Phase 1: Redesign the home page for new non-Toodledo users. Because new customers do not have any expectations about Toodledo, this is safe place to start. It will set in place our design patterns and give us a template for future work. We will keep the top of the page (logo, sign in button, etc) similar to our current look so that returning customers will recognize Toodledo and know where to sign in.

Phase 2: Redesign top/bottom navigation for registered users. This is the light blue section at the top and bottom of the page. We will update these sections to make them a little cleaner, but the functionality will not change much.

Phase 3: Internal support pages. We will redesign the internals of the secondary pages on Toodledo. This includes things like the settings section, the forums, help pages, tools, etc. The goal here is to make all the secondary pages easier to use and consistently designed.

Phase 4: Tasks section facelift. We won't be moving anything around or changing functionality yet. We will just be updating the look and feel to make it cleaner and consistent with the rest of the site design.

Future phases have yet to be defined, but will include the Notes, Outlines and Lists sections as well as our iOS and Android apps.

Please welcome Bridget to Toodledo and feel free to give us your feedback and suggestions about what you would like to see refined and improved.

Thanks,
Jake

Unfortunately, we don't have control over the way Zapier works. You can try to contact them, or try using IFTTT instead which can do what you have described:

A refresh button (or rather pull to refresh) is on our to-do list

Yes, try using an "Outline". You can make a checklist with nested items if you want. Then check off the items as you do them. When you want to start over, select "uncheck all" from the toolbar.

If you want to use the "Tasks" section, you can do that too with subtasks. Make a task for your list then make all the subtasks under it. Keep this master list as a template. Whenever you want to do the list, clone the parent task (Which will also clone the subtasks) and then check them off as you do it.

We are looking for some pithy quotes about how great Toodledo is. We will use these on our homepage as user testimonials and they will appear as a direct quote attributed to your name or username. Want to be on our homepage? Please give us a short quote that we can use.

How do you feel about Toodledo? What is your favorite part of Toodledo?

Thanks!
Jake

A fix for copy/paste will be in the next update. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The "just completed" task will remain there until the list is refreshed. This is intentional so that you can edit that task if you need to before it goes away. You can refresh a list by sorting, or tapping the show button twice like you are doing. Or by going back and then forwards again.

Publishing and sharing are two different things.

Publishing will make your todo list available to everyone on the internet and does not support subtasks.

Sharing will make selected folders available to select people and does support subtasks. When using this option, each collaborator can choose to display subtasks according to their preferences by using the options under the "Show" menu.

Thanks for the suggestion. We do not comment on timeframes for implementation, but this is on our to-do list.

How would you suggest that we do it with 1 click? I can't think of a way. I can imagine 2 clicks, but not 1.
