For a task that is Optional and Repeating, in other words, not really a task I have to do, I would very much like to have the option to skip that occurrence.
I use daily tasks as a todo list for the day. Optional tasks that I cannot get to I would like to Skip, thus removing from the tasks for the day. I understand I can change the date myself, but for complicated repeat patterns this can lead to breakage. I have custom searches, for today, yesterday, 2 days ago etc. The tasks listed here are useful in that I can see what I did, but they are very powerful as a motivator. Seeing what I actually did really helps to keep me motivated and focused. This keeps me effective. May I suggest using the Date/Time dialog. Just add a Skip option here. |
