I previously provided some feedback around subtask counts on the iphone app - the fact that it counts completed tasks. This is still an issue that limits the usability of subtasks.

The new version features a count on the top of each folder - good in theory but some options would be nice. It seems to count tasks and subtasks (thankfully, but somewhat inconsisstntly not completed subtasks as I see in the subtask count).

It would be nice to choose whether I want to count subtasks or not from the folder view.

Hi There,

I've recently upgraded to a pro account and I thought it was about time to make some suggestions:

iPhone app reminders - please add a 'start time' reminder. At the moment, I have to start an event 15 minutes later in toodledo if I want a reminder at the start - a frustrating workaround which was a a major factor in keeping me off a paid account till now. Other factors saw me buying one, but I'd be very happy if you could add this.

iPhone app counts - please add an option to not count sup-tasks in a folders total. eg: my 'grocery shopping' task - I don't want milk, apples, and bread to appear to count towards my 'do today' folder total. Some other people might though, so a toggle woudl be great.

iPhone app counts - please add an option (or just a change) to remove completed subtasks from a tasks count. Folders only show me a count of incomplete tasks, and it seems odd that subtasks behave differently.

iPhone app subtasks - please add the ability to move these to other tasks.

Hope these can be achieved.
Kevin.

Hi,

Wasn't sure where feature suggestions should go.

It occured to me that it would be good to have a push alert when a task is due - not just 15 minutes before.

I recognise that I could just have the event 15 mins after it is really due, but still...

Ok. I've seen a few problems as to why I wasn't getting notifs - wrong time zone - not on rpo.

On a pro trial now - getting notifs sometimes. Other times not. Still trying to figure out if there's some pattern to it.

The Outlook sync tool is not yet able to sync reminders, but that may be added at some point according to the developer. See this thread: https://www.toodledo.com/forums/8/2296/0/outlook-sync-tool-and-due-time.html

Thanks for your reply - perhaps I shoudln't have mentioned Outlook as it confuses my issue - at this stage I am just wondering what triggers a push notification - I will modify my habits to suit.

I just tested push and it does work - but I set due time and reminder on website and not sure how it works with OUtlook.

But I had someone send me a test text straight afterwards and reminder was lost.... So I may go back to text messaging support for urgent reminders.

I only see the option to set a day as a due date - is setting a time a feature of a subscription account? Do push notifs only work with subscriptions maybe?

hihi,

Just got the update for the iphone and its shiny push notifications.

I set reminders in Outlook and synced them into my toodledo, hoping that the reminders would come through - that doesn't seem to be a field supported in toodledo - what fields do cause a push?

Cheers.
