We're pretty happy with the API and haven't had any complaints from our users, although we are relatively new. A couple of points: SmartPad for iPad is an all-around organizer, so it sync's Events with the iPad Calendar and Tasks with Toodledo. It's a dichotomy, but we like it. :) We have a new iPhone app called SmartCal GTD - actually we just submitted it today - which also sync's tasks with Toodledo.
