UPDATE: We've switched over to the new servers, so the rest of this thread is no longer relevant. Thanks to everyone who helped test

Due to our increased popularity , our website has been running a little slowly lately. Hopefully few people besides us have noticed.

Toodledo is getting ready to switch over to a cluster of faster servers. We have been testing them for the last week and we are 99% certain that everything will work when we make the switch, but it can't hurt to get a little extra help.

So.... If you want Toodledo to be really zippy, and you don't mind helping us test the new servers, point your web browser to http://test.toodledo.com. It may redirect you back to www.toodledo.com from time to time. If this happens, just change the url back to test.toodledo.com.

If you encounter any problems that are not present on our main website, please let us know through the bug reporting link here: http://test.toodledo.com/info/report_bug.php

Thanks!

FYI: I just noticed HTTPS didn't work on it. Not sure if its a bug or will be solved when you convert it to the normal domain.

Test server just crashed Firefox 3.

From the Main view I clicked on Status view with the "Any Status" tab selected. While there I clicked on "No Status" tab to look at that filter, and then clicked back to "Any Status". After that view had loaded, I clicked on the scrollbar in order to scroll down, but when I clicked on it the cursor looked like it was on a link - the hand with the pointing finger - that locked up Firefox and after staying non-responsive for 5 full minutes I had to end the process from the Task Manager.

Not a big deal but I wanted to report it.

Thanks!

Hi there,
congrats on the new app. Toodledo was already an essential service for me and it just got better.
One question though, why do completed tasks (albeit with a tick) show up on the iPhone when I can hide them on the website.
Also, the todo app show a the number of task to be completed that day in a way similar to how the SMS and Mail apps show the number of new messages. Is that a possibility?
Thanks.

Hi John,

Its a little off topic, but you can click the "filters" button on your iPhone to hide completed tasks. Hope that helps. Also, the application badge will be added soon.

Tried http://test.toodledo.com/views/index.php but it kept on redirecting back.

Tried it changing it (pasting) several times to http://test.toodledo.com/views/index.php but redirects back to https://www.toodledo.com/views/(etc...)

New server has been working well. I probably don't spend enough extended time on the page to see a speed increase, but then again I have never, ever had a speed problem while updating my Toodledo list previously!

Thanks!

THe test server seems to be down. Did you swap it over yet? Should we resume using the old website address?
