completed check box keeps disappearing

Sometimes, when I am in the middle of using toodledo, all of my checkboxes along the left hand side will disappear and be replaced by the words "Due Date" and I cannot figure out how to get them back. If I want long enough and relog in, they come back. Any advice how to stop it from happening or get them back in real time?
