Hi there,

I often have emails that cannot be answered directly. And I would like to create reminders for these
Emails as Toodledo tasks (A simple reference to this email that pops up in x days).

Does anyone know a nice and easy way to do this?

Thank you,
Christoph

Yes, use our "Browser Plugin" available in the Tools menu. This will allow you to create a task from any webpage, including a gmail email.

Thanks Jake - but it doesn't seem to work on Gmail:

Refused to load the script 'https://www.toodledo.com/includes/bookmarklet_min.js' because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "script-src https://*.talkgadget.google.com/ 'self' 'unsafe-inline' 'unsafe-eval' https://talkgadget.google.com/

Oh, right. I had forgot about that. Google blocks these sorts of plugins. Darn.

Todoist has a plug-in that allows you to add gmail as a Todoist task. It's very useful because it creates a link within the task that when you click on it, it pulls up the specific gmail.

It is so convenient not to have to hunt through email to find the one you need for a particular task, and to quickly respond to that email.

I think it would be fantastic if Toodledo had similar functionality.

I also think that is useful, most people use their emails as some kind of todolist (many unreplied and unread emails). So naturally I would like to combine them with Toodledo (that's what google tries to tacke with "inbox" btw).

But right now the link from Gmail to Toodledo seems to be still missing.

How is this different than forwarding the email to your "secret" toodledo email? I've done this multiple times from both gmail and outlook without issue. If you use start date, you can add your preferred reminder date to the subject, and toodledo will hide it until that date.

A plug-in that links the email (like Todoist has) means you can just click on the email link within the task, and you are taken right to your specific, actual email, from which you can respond, etc. With a forwarded email, if you want to continue with the email thread, you have to search your email client to find the email in your inbox. A Todoist type plug-in would be very, very convenient.

You can use a Google Apps script to create a task in Toodledo by starring a message in Gmail. I've described how to do this in this forum post: http://www.toodledo.com/forums/3/20259/0/create-task-from-starred-message-in-gmail.html

See Geoff Peters post at the link below. Works like a charm.
