There are quite a few junk threads (especially in the "General Off Topic Chit-Chat" forum) promoting various products and services. They just clutter up the message board.

Why are they not being deleted by the administrator?

We don't have the time to monitor the "General" forum. There is a thumbs up/down voting system that you can use to hide unwanted messages.

How about a 'flag this' option? Then perhaps, at least weekly or something, someone can go and review and remove the trash?

It might sound odd, but well kept forums are like a well swept house--Old Friends and new guests just feel comfortable there. LOL!

I see that the offensive threads have been deleted.

Thanks Jake.

Now all you have to do is schedule a few minutes per week for some house cleaning.

If only there was some way of keeping track of recurring tasks ... ;)

Perhaps you just need to enlist a few volunteer moderators to do this stuff for you.

Good suggestion Peter.

After Anders left, I'm sure that it's become tougher for Jake to keep up with software development and the forums.

I volunteer to help out.

Sorry, I should have said: "After Anders stopped being a Volunteer Moderator".

As far as I can tell, he hasn't posted since November 2009.

now I understand,

"We" is jake

I mean why don't "they" apply for credit and hire a real web developer, AFAIK toodledo is "still" competitive in the todo webapp market (not the apple app)?

I thought that I hadn't seen him around in a while!

I'd also be prepared to at least delete spam threads when I'm on the forums (which is usually every day) if Jake was able to provide this level of access.
