Can I please get a show of hands for this feature. I'm calling it "Custom Views".

Basically you can customize a certain view. So say you want to see all of your starred tasks sorted by Priority and filtered by some other criteria. Then you save this custom view. Then you create one or more similar custom views that each have their own sorted and filtered task lists and other custom settings.

Then you take each of these saved views and they each become their own tabs. So you have one page with custom tabs according to the way you work. I need several views for my tasks according to context, dates, sorting, etc. And then you can also sort the order of the tabs.

Can I get a show of support to implement this. I've been patiently waiting for this to happen for a while now and I would like to drum up the support to get this one passed.

I understand that as a developer that the Toodledo developers are busy, but this seems like a no-brainer feature that would get a lot of support and appreciation.

Thanks, Osaga

To me it's as simple as ; saved search to include "sort by" infos.

Also an additional "show only the first X results"
So we can focus on only a few things at once.

as you said, this would certainly "get a lot of support and appreciation."

I've posted a reply in your other thread and think it is worth linking it here: http://www.toodledo.com/forums/2/4363/-39949/read.html

I've advocated for this feature almost since I started using TD. Big +++ (ballot stuffing:) here. This would really complete TD in so many ways.

Great to hear. Of course, we'll expect it by the end of the week. :)

I know you're busy with multiple sites, but can you offer any idea as to when it may get done? 3 months? 1 year?

Any suggestions as to what we can do to get this one moving along?

Thanks

Happy to know I'm not the only one completely stoked about this feature. :)

Here is an example of why I would like this feature:

One saved view called "Home," which shows my "home"-related contexts: home, phone, errands, on-line.

A second saved view called "Work," which shows my "work"-related contexts: laptop, office, phone.

You could do this with tags - it's what I do.

You don't need tags or even Saved Views to do that. That's what contexts are for.

I'd like this feature, too. Although I don't happen to think it's trivial to implement. The programming might be easy, but there would be a lot of testing involved.

This is a feature I would also like to see available.

To truly meet my needs, the views would allow a separate "custom view" for each tab. I work my various tabs using a very specific methodology and would prefer not to re-sort each time I change tabs (view).
