I have just upgraded to Pro mainly because of subtask feature. I have noticed that when I export to CSV file for backup there is no data denoting subtasks. Is there a way to backup subtasks?

Export your to-do list as an XML file. This is the best way to backup your data to your computer. This will export all of your tasks (completed and uncompleted) along with all of their information (including notes, and subtasks).

Thanks. Is there a way to edit XML like CSV? Say if I wanted to label many tasks with subtask. In CSV you can copy and paste a subtask label over many data cells all at once.

You can edit XML in a text editor, but it is a little more complicated. XML allows for more information with better structure than CSV which is why the XML export has more information that the CSV export.

You can open XML files with Excel (2007 and 2010). As Toodledo does not provide a schema, Excel has to build one but it works well enough that you can edit the file if you need to.
