I have come up with a way to do sequential tasks that works for me. All I do is put each sequential tasks in the notes field of the current task. When I complete the current task, I can then pull in the next task from the list. Adding tasks in between other tasks is simple too.

The main reason I wanted to go this route was to keep my task list clutter free. Another level of subtasks would have been more ideal.

I do it differently. I use the subtask as the sequential tasks (manually ordered as I wish) and I star the one that is current. Or I could also just put a date on only the current one.
