I am nowhere near capable of doing this or even knowing how much work it would take, but I would LOVE to see someone in the TD community come up with some plugin for the Google Quick Search Box: http://www.google.com/quicksearchbox/

Vin, I'm just wondering, what exactly would the plugin do? Just search Toodledo.com, or am I totally missing something?

You could use it to submit tasks on the fly using the email or twitter syntax without having to open up the app at all.

Pretty cool!

Don't know what Vin Thomas is pointing to with Google, but Anders to have Google search just toodledo.com it is pretty simple and you probably already know this e.g. if I want to find hits in the forum that match projects AND subtasks the syntax is
project subtask site:http://www.toodledo.com/forums/

This is not as easy as TD having a better dedicated search on its own site, but it does help.

You can read more here:
http://www.google.com/sitesearch/

or simply play with this google search
http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en

and then see the parameters goog has entered into its search window to understand the various ways to play with the syntax. You can also type the syntax in the top URL window without even using google directly at all. E.G. Open a tab in your (firefox) browser and then paste in this url "thanks Anders" site:http://www.toodledo.com/forums/ Have fun.

You guys need to check up on what the Google Quick Search Box does.

Basically it works like Quicksilver if you are familiar with that.

I could potentially do the following:

Press Ctrl + Space Bar to open up the quick search box, then type in "Mow the lawn *Chores @home" and have it automatically added to ToodleDo.

It's pretty slick.

You can see a quick demo on youtube: http://tr.im/nZqy

Another option would be using YubNub, which I've considered before. You can create your own commands that are implemented via web services and YubNub has a plugin for the FireFox searchbox. You could easily have the same type of functionality via this - you could add tasks, show a summary or whatever via a web service hooked up via ToodleDo's API.
