Hi,

I have been using toodledo for a few weeks now, and I think that it would be easier to motivate myself to carry on whittling down the task list if there was a more public, obvious "bottom line" that I could easily see and show to others.

When you have a counter, you tend to maximize it. Especially if you make the counter big, bright and colourful.

For example, a facebook app that lets you display a prominent badge on your profile showing total number of tasks completed per day, averaged over the last few days.

Another idea would be a counter or graph that would be easy to embed into your homepage, blog, etc. The existing progress graph is not exactly easy to embed into anything else, and there is no "progress counter".
