Posted Aug 27, 2015 in: How to VIew Completed Tasks?
Score: 0
Let's say I need to find out when I completed a particular task in the past.
1. Do I do that in Tools/Settings/Alarm Activity, or is there a more direct way? 2. Can I assume that with my $15/yr subscription those tasks will hang around for two years? 3. That table has Task, Sent to, and Date columns. Does "Date" refer to the Completion Date/Time? Thanks, Al |

Okay, good, thanks. I just finished writing up a ticket, and you can ignore it.
I've probably spent over an hour testing and experimenting to figure out what is wrong. Few are going to see that help topic. I'm a RTFM type, and I didn't. I strongly recommend that when setting an alarm in that situation, a message pops up: "The alarm you set up will not fire. You must set any alarm at least 10 minutes into the future for it to have time to get scheduled and work in your web browser." Other programmer types like me are going to waste time testing alarms. In fact, I'll bet for most users, the first thing they'll do is set up an alarm a few minutes in the future to see how it works. When it doesn't, they will move on to another to do application. |

I suspect you are already planning on changing this, but having the menus disappear if the mouse moves away from them is unexpected and troublesome. I don't think I've seen any app that does it that way.
Often the user moves the mouse away from the menu while looking for an appropriate option. Thanks, Al |

Thanks, Alex.
Show Notifications is Allow and in the Organize/Alarms, the Browser option is there (and I can run the test, and the notification box appears). I will do some more testing and submit a ticket if I don't figure out a solution. |

To understand the alarms, I have been experimenting.
At 6:40 PM I set an alarm for 6:42, then waited with Firefox open and Toodledo in a pinned tab: http://i.imgur.com/3WcNVMV.png 6:42 came and went with no alarm. An email was sent. I've allowed the notifications, and have seen them before. Any idea why it didn't fire off this time? Thanks, Al |

I've been trying to figure out why I missed an alarm this morning. It should have sounded on my Nexus, and I thought maybe I'd missed it.
I've set up some other alarms and they've worked as expected. However, here's an alarm I set up at around 4:12 PM: http://i.imgur.com/cbxNIm6.png I set it up, and synced. At 4:15 there was no alarm. There was an email sent, but the alarm on the Nexus did not sound. Note that I have an alarm sound that is five minutes long. I do that because I don't want want to choose Insistent--I don't want the alarm to go on forever. But I do want it do go on for five minutes. Could that be the problem? However, I have had the alarm sound at other times. Any ideas why it failed? Thanks, Al |

Thanks, Guys.

Thanks.
Perhaps I could implement this with a webhook? Is it possible to implement this on a PC? I know that my Gmail Notifier makes a quiet sound each time an email comes in. You might give this a high priority, since alarms can be important. |

I would like the default "Time Before Due Date" reminder time to be one minute rather than one hour. Can that be done?

Well, it's working now, even with increased text size. If you fixed it, thanks.

I missed an alarm today, and I'm not sure if it failed to go off, or if I just failed to notice it.
The notification on FireFox appears and remains for only a few seconds. There is no audible alarm. Question 1: Is there any way to get an audible alarm on my PC? Question 2: Is there any way to get that notification window to stay up until I dismiss it? Thanks, Al |

Can you just choose a ringtone that is silent? That is, create or find an mp3 file that is silent, copy it to your Android device, and choose that as ToodleDo's ringtone?

Thanks for the help, Jake.
That explained it. 12 AM is recognized to be ambiguous. Some say: Midnight is written as "12am" which would imply that it's in the morning. Therefore, it should be at the start of the day. Some say: 12:00 midnight is 0000 hours, so this makes midnight the very beginning of the next day. There is no 2400 hours which again says that midnight is the beginning of the next day. Others disagree. |
