I have now had the chance to properly look through the new app, and reinstall the iPad app to solve the task sync bug....which worked. This is my feedback...

iPhone app: absolutely fantastic, I found the old app very annoying and often ended up trying to use the full website by zooming around, the new iPhone app is spot on, the font size is perfect...PLEASE do not change the font size, it works well....instead maybe have the option for those who are complaining,

iPad app: totally dislike. Sorry, but I really don't like this one. My main complaint is the waste of space on the right hand side. I would much rather see tasks run the whole length of the screen and open up for more details like the iPhone. I also don't like the very cramped left hand option menu, why not have this bar able to be hidden but brought up as autohide? This menu bar only fills a quarter of the page height and again is a waste of space....I think the iPad app looks very odd. Also don't like the patterned background either. To be honest, I find the full website on the iPad much easier to navigate.

So, two different versions of the app, two opposite thoughts. Apart from a few iPhone bugs, that's all fine as far as I can see...but my view is the iPad app needs to be completely redesigned. Until then, I will use the website version instead on my iPad.

I like the iPhone app, a massive Improvement and worked first time.

The iPad app I am having problems with, it shows no tasks I have tried sync several times, myriad checking account details and retyping but nothing.

Does anyone else know how to get my tasks to show. Seems odd it works on the iphone but not the iPad

Many thanks

I know this sounds very sad. But I check daily on the forum for updates and get rather excited when updates are added. Toodled is part of my life for business management, person tasks, home improvements and even a list of meals we have in the freezer. I am an organiser freak!

Without saying what....any updates coming soon? It will save me checking the forum everyday only to be disapponted. Maybe a mailing list would be good or splash screen on load when updates are added!

It's been such a long time since the last update!

Many thanks

Fantastic. This will be a huge help to all our staff who use Toodledo, and we look forward to the future additions to this.

One small question....can you look at adding a dropdown box when you choose 'Reassign' to reassign to a particular folder.

All our staff have "Folder view" by default, and don't really check the "No Folder". So, if we reassign them tasks, we would like those tasks to appear in a particular folder.

The other way around it, would be to have a "Default re-assign folder" in settings, and depending on what that folder is set to, any reassigned tasks appear in that folder.

Many thanks again for the superb task sharing!

... The confusion was I think that I tend to use the Website to create tasks, but use the Ipad App to tick them off and check what's coming up!....So I never noticed that Start Date was missing on the App!

Thank you....however Whilst taking Photos I noticed something.

I noticed that I could not see the "Start Date" listed on the task like on the main website.

Then, I went it Settings, and saw that Start Date was listed as an unused field. (under fields and defaults).

So....I moved it to add the field, closed and then reopened the App. and Hurrahh, it works!

So....it seems that the "Hide Future Tasks filter" ONLY Works if you have the "Start Date" added as a field via the settings.

Anyway, Thank you for your help. If you hadn't have asked me to take some photos, I would never had found the answer!

I will raise a support ticket shortly.

I probably will need to take a photo of the screen as I don't know how to do a screen shot on the Ipad!

Many thanks for your help.

Additional:

Been playing around again, and it appear tasks ONLY over 30 days are hidden when the hide future tasks is enabled . Tasks less than 30 days is shown.

When the hide future tasks filter is turned to "show all" then all tasks including those over 30 .days are also shown

Yes, I have many but for example, I have a task;

"Check currency prices" - start date 9th feb 2012 - due date 9th feb 2012

The filter is set to hide future tasks but it still shows up. I have tasks due for tomorrow, next week and two weeks time and all of them show up.

I have been playing around and decided to try and remove the due dates and to be honest it doesn't make any difference, so it appears as though it is not connected to the combination.

After Changing all my tasks to have no due dates but only start dates in the future, then all still show up.

I View my list always by folder with the filter always enabled

I just tested that theory. I left the Start Date on my tasks and removed all the Due Dates for the same tasks.

Went back into the App and refreshed and they are still all showing up inspite of the filter "hide future tasks" being enabled.

The "Hide Future Tasks" Filter on the Ipad/Iphone App still shows all the tasks up to 30 days, so it doesn't work.

Do you think this is because of a bug since I set Due Dates as well as Start dates on the same task as the same day?

The filter doesn't work for tasks with a start date less than 30 days sadly. That's the problem, even enabled they all still show up.

I am not sure if this makes a difference but I set BOTH the start and due date for my reoccuring regular tasks the same as each other.

So for example, Friday I need to do a backup and so both the start and due dates are set to Friday and the task reoccurs

On the full website it does not show this task until Friday when the future tasks filter is applied

But, on the app when the future task filter is applied it shows it

Hope that makes sense

Thank you, but is is not really what I meant.

What I wanted is to hide all future tasks even if they are due tomorrow (I.e. the task start date is set in the future). On your full website you can choose the hide future task filter and it will hide tasks set anytime in the future, but...

Applying the "hide future task" filter on the Mobile website and app still shows tasks due to start in 30 days?

On the full website is works fantastic

Many thanks

I have many tasks that I setup to reoccur at various intervals. Once I complete these tasks they then reoccur as a future task. Some are weekly, monthly or even yearly.

On the main website you can change th default setting for future tasks to hide unless it Is on the actual day (0 days showing of future tasks). But on the iPhone and iPad app and also on the new BETA mobile website there doesn't appear to be a way of changing th default of future tasks.

The consequence is I have a huge list of over 30 tasks that I don't want to be displayed that are due shortly. I want these tasks to only show up on the day they are due.

Does anyone know of a way to do this as It is very frustrating on the iPad app!

Many thanks

Just registered another account, and it works very well.

A little update task for you to add to your list! When you re-assign tasks, the drop down is also random. Could this also be alphabetic!

Many thanks
