is there a way to enter a new task and have a default context assigned. a majority of my tasks are specific to one context so that would be a good help. thanks.

If you're referring to the web , if you go to settings in the upper right corner , scroll down to the " tasks " section and then to " new task defaults " you can set the options you want .

Yes but what about new tasks created with the "Mac App"???

The Mac App cannot do default contexts yet. This is on our todo list.

Another idea is to assign different default contexts (or any other field for that matter) based on either location or a schedule. For example, default context for Work when Location matches my work location and default context of Personal when I'm anyplace else. Alternately, default context of Work during working hours (based on a user-input schedule) and Personal if it's the weekend (for example).
