Hello, I agree: the page reload when a task is completed is very annoying.

Yes please let us know how to turn this feature off -- it is really slowing me down when I try to use toodledo

I found the workaround: tasks.toodledo.com
Don't know why it is not the standard. Here you can also add more than one Tag.

This is happening with the old version of Toodledo.

You can change to the current (New) version at Modify Default Settings.

The current version was introduced two years ago on March 7, 2017 and the option to make it the default became available on May 19, 2017.

Switched to the new version and it's still automatically reloading when I check off a task. This is very annoying; beyond making it take longer to check off multiple tasks, I have always considered it a feature rather than a bug that I can see all the tasks I've checked off since the last time I reloaded the page. Seeing everything I've already done marked off is a great motivator. Now that's been taken away. Not pleased with the change at all.

EDIT: Correction--changing to the new Toodledo worked once I got the page to correctly refresh. Now I just get to adjust to a bunch of visual changes instead.

Purveyor's post is spot on, easy to follow, and works like a charm. Follow the link to modify the settings, choose the new version under Tasks, wah lah. You've got to deal with the new look and feel, but no more automatic page refreshes. It behaves like before -- it grays completed tasks out and sticks a line through them, otherwise they are left alone until I choose to refresh the page. Thanks for posting Purveyor.

Hi folks!

Same for me (and it is not possible to add an due date via the ,,Add task''-dialogue). Web interface is unusable for me. :-(

Luckily i have certain 3rd-party-apps that work.

My workaround for the web interface: https://m.toodledo.com

Markus

My problem with the solution to go the new web interface .. is that my saved searches have different results for some reason. The new interface and the old interface don't display the same results for the same search. Why might that be?

ANSWER: I can confirm that switching to the new interface does fix the refresh issue for me.

NOTE TO OTHERS: I had saved searches built around start times and in the old interface a blank start time was considered to be "is before" any valid start time. In the new interface I had to modify these same searches to pull in start times that "does'nt exist".
