I set up a coworker on Toodledo and he uses a windows machine. When adding a note there is no cursor in the subject field. This is a little confusing and doesn't do a very good job at letting you know that the field has focus. He is on a PC using Firefox 3.5
Works fine on my Mac in Fluid.app and Firefox. |

Frankly I am glad Toodledo doesn't stick too close to GTD. There are some methodologies that I use that don't Jive well with David Allen's system.

I guess corporate users are not important to you. That's a harsh thing to say. FYI, Toodledo is primarily one guy. The iPhone app is great and there are tons of third-party connections. As much as I would love to see an Android App, or you would like Blackberry (and others may want WebOS, Symbian, Windows Mobile, etc), I don't think it's fair to say that Toodledo doesn't care about it's users. The more time you spend here you will quickly find out that Toodledo cares more than any other company in his field. |

I disagree with Alan about having it be a dropdown. Some people will have dozens of tags and it will scroll below the screen. Not very useful. But I do agree that it could have been implemented in a better way. I like how RTM does auto-complete...just sayin.

I don't think mattxphone's point is completely invalid. Sure, it's not THAT difficult to figure out how to use Toodledo -- but it could be easier.
Not to bring up the competition or anything, but check out how nice of a job TeuxDeux did on their screencast. This is a feature on their home page and makes it easy for users to understand the app from the get go. Granted, it is a much simpler (and more limited) app than Toodledo, but you get the gist. http://teuxdeux.com (click the "Video" button) If I had a spare hour, I would put it together myself. But unless Toodledo is ready to feature the video on the site it probably wouldn't make tons of a difference. I don't see tons of people searching the forums to find a screencast. They'd expect it in the help pages or on the main page of toodledo.com. |

I am a Mac user, so an Outlook Add-in won't do it for me. Thanks for the suggestion.
I did find a couple that look promising: http://www.javelincrm.com/ http://www.batchblue.com/ Any others would be appreciated since I haven't really built roots with either of these... |

I think even better than an intro article would be an intro screencast.

If it's any help, you can try my userscript which makes the "Add Task" button much more prominent. But yes, the site needs a UI redesign.

Glad it's useful for you guys. If you want to customize the colors you can download the "stylish" plugin for Firefox and make the changes easily from within. If you need any help learning how to use this, let me know.

Great suggestion. I guess I always thought of Green for GO! But your way actually makes more sense.
I have updated the script and it can be downloaded here: http://bit.ly/toodledoish PS. I couldn't make negative priority gray because there is not a unique class applied to that element from Toodledo. |

Oh...that is not possible.

Slim site. It may be a little slower since it's a web page and not an app, but it's nice.

In the "Account Settings" there is a setting for "Fields/Functions Used". You can turn on and off almost all fields.

The star has become critical to my workflow. I use it to mark tasks that need to be done today. It would be incredibly helpful to be able to add the start to a task via email, SMS (via Twitter), and the Firefox Plugin.
Is this feature coming? |

Wow...that pretty much seals the deal for me. Subtasks are essential to my workflow. I hope you'll consider adding them sooner than later.
Thanks. |

If you use a search to gather the tasks you'd like to edit, you can use "multi-edit" to assign them all to a specific folder.

It would be nice to have this work with the escape key.
