Anders, can you elaborate on this?
What do I need to do to get push notifications for Toodledo events?
I have an iphone and a gmail calendar with the webcal feed so that google calendar displays my Toodledo tasks.
But I don't see how I get the built-in iPhone calendar to display the events.

You can use Google Sync http://www.google.com/mobile/apple/sync.html for iPhone. Note that it will replace anything currently in the calendar (or contacts if you choose to sync them as well). So back up anything on your phone. The instructions for setting it up are here: http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=138740&topic=14252

After setting up the sync, you will have to set up which calendars to sync (you can sync up to 5), as described here: http://www.google.com/support/mobile/bin/answer.py?answer=139206&ctx=sibling&topic=14252

Just choose the Toodledo iCal as one of your calendars to sync, and make sure the GoogleSync is set up to push in the iPhone setting under "fetch new data". Then, you can set reminders on Google calendar, and have them pushed to the iPhone.

Of course Toodledo does SMS notifications now, so this is not quite as neat a trick as it used to be.

OK, I've got it setup. Much appreciated.
However, are you able to get the events to have an alert? The Google Calendar shows that there is an alert set for my event, but when I look in the iPhone calendar, there's no alert set. Is there a way to do that that you know of?

Google says it works on this page:
http://www.google.com/mobile/apple/sync.html
"Get calendar alerts. Using your iPhone's native calendar, you can now access multiple Google calendars, and be alerted for upcoming appointments with sound or vibration."

That would save a lot of SMS messages for me.

Yes, reminders that you set on Gcal as "Pop-up", either for the whole calendar or individual events. Also, you can add reminders to individual events in the iPhone calendar. If your reminders are not coming through, I would check to make sure they are set as Pop-up, and not email or SMS.

Subtask with Due Date are not included in "Due Dates" and "Hotlist"

I just downloaded the new Version 1.5 from the App Store and wanted to check the new Push function.
Appart from Push not seeming to work, i dicsovered, that the Due Dates of Subtasks seem to be ignored in the App.

A Subtask with due Date of today is not displayed in section "Due Date" -> "Today". Neither are dates in the respectivly sections or in the "Hotlist" (with accordingly settings).

This is not the case on the Toodledo Webpage though.

(sorry for the bad english, greetings from germany ;-) )

I think you have great English, certainly better than my German (I've forgotten most of it I'm ashamed to say!)

Push definitely isn't working I can confirm that.

I can't confirm sub tasks though as I'm not a Pro user. I was planning on being one once the update came out but now I'm a touch put off again!

Push notifications were never slated for that update which was submitted weeks ago. They are being beta tested right now, and I believe will be in the next update.

Edit: it appears I was wrong here. Toodledo had said they were 95% in this update, and I incorrectly interpreted that as meaning they were not quite in this update.

Can we perhaps get a consistent answer from the top? Some people are saying it works, most aren't. It's in the AppStore and the app asked you if you wanted to turn it on. It's in the settings and you can choose iPhone in the account notifications settings. This both on the app version and the beta.

Push is definitely working for me. One of the reminders options on my settings page (http://www.toodledo.com/connect_remind.php) is iPhone, which I selected. On the iPhone app itself, one of the task detail options is alarm from which you can choose timescale ie 15 minutes, 1 day etc.

I've tested it and confirm it's working, although it disappears when another reminder comes in, whether you've seen it or not.

Yes unfortunately that is just the way Apple does reminders. It is the same with the built in calendar.

I can confirm that these settings are available and have changed them. However I take it you're on a pro account as the alarm setting on the non-pro is a standard hour.

However this still does not work. I've had a task in for every hour since I update this morning nearly and not once have I received a push notification - yet I have for ebuddy and Tap Tap - so I know my handset is OK.

Are we to take it therefore that push is only a pro feature because if that is the case then I'm unhappy as it doesn't state that on the app store and new buyers won't be impressed either.

Thank you but this is a week old or more, since then a version has been released that states:

"Toodledo is now fully compatible with iPhone 3.0 and now uses Apples Push Network..."

I'm sure you can see my point about it looking bad?

Push is not Pro only as far as I know. Have you confirmed in the app that you want to activate notifications, and have you set up iPhone in the Toodledo reminder configuration page?

The update that was just released was submitted to Apple weeks ago, and it is the one Toodledo was referring to in that post. Also, it seems that the new update does work with Push notifications. Confirm on opening the app that you want to enable them. Go to this page: http://www.toodledo.com/connect_remind.php
Select "iPhone" for reminders, and click "Save Changes". Make sure you are using Due Dates and (optionally) Due Times. Make sure to sync back to Toodledo after setting a reminder in the app. Note that you must have an active network connection to receive notifications as the only way Apple allows them from 3rd party apps is if they come directly from the server.

Apple approved it in the middle of the night, so our announcement is a little late, but you can read it here:

http://www.toodledo.com/forums/1/2339/0/toodledos-iphone-app-has-been-updated.html

Also, here is the help topic that explains how to setup push alarms.

We have 3 topics going right now for our iPhone 3.0 update, so I am going to lock this one.
