Today when starting Firefox, went to ToodleDo and then logged in Firefox hangs and in the top menu bar it says (Not responding).

Doing the same in Chrome is fine??

Anyone else having same problems?? Is it just me?

FireFox has been working fine for me.

I guess just try the usual, i.e. empty your browser cache and try again to see if that helps.

I've been experiencing a firefox 3.6 freeze similar to Andrew's since Wed evening. Firefox 4b4 works ok, as does chrome -- maybe something in the new release that does not work with ff3.6 or one of the extensions.....

I'm seeing the same issue in Firefox 3.6.8. When I launch in my default view, which has ~100 to-do items, Firefox locks up solid (I get an hourglass everywhere in the window except the title bar) and pegs the CPU -- basically it acts like it's stuck in a really tight javascript loop. If I let it sit for five or ten minutes it clears up on its own and things seem to work properly from that point. A normal page reload doesn't bring back the problem but force-reloading it (shift-reload, etc.) does.

Blowing away the cache and cookies doesn't help. Neither does starting in Safe Mode, so it's not an extension conflict. Nothing in the Error Console either.

I use Firefox daily and I am not seeing this problem, but I'll keep testing various different configurations and see if I can get this to happen.

I have just registered with Toodledo and have the same problem on my Vista laptop running Firefox (latest version). Toodledo works fine under Internet Explorer on the same machine and also under Firefox 3.6.8 on a deskop running XP.
However, just after I go to Toodledo on the Vista machine in Firefox it freezes without completing the screen 'paint' (the checkboxes are not displayed as boxes, for example).

Ever since the August 25 update I am having the exact same problem with Firefox 3.6.8 "Not Responding" when signing in to Toodledo. i Can sign in to Toodledo in Chrome just fine. But, even Safe Mode in FF does not solve the problem.

I am having the same exact problem as well. I'm running the latest FireFox. I have completely disabled all of my add-ons, uninstalled and re-installed FireFox, etc. It still locks up on my account right away.

It has been driving me crazy. I'm glad to hear I'm not the only problem where this just started happening. I have been previously been logging into Toodledo every single day from my work PC. Now I can't.

Please fix!

If you are having trouble with Firefox, please post the version that you are using, and a list of the plugins that you have installed. Also, if you have to do anything in particular to get it to happen, please include that. You can create a support ticket if you prefer.

Thanks

I am running Firefox 3.6.8, and simply signing in to Toodledo causes the freeze. This is the only thing causing this problem. It does not seem to be related to extensions since the problem occurs even when running Firefox in SafeMode. And, again, this started with the first sign-in following the Aug. 25 update. A list of all my extensions follows below:

Firefox 3.6.8 also freezes up immediately upon logging in to toodledo. It's not just the toodledo tab, but the whole browser. You have to End Task and re-start to make it usable again. I'm using IE to access Toodledo now.

Application: Firefox 3.6.8 (20100722155716)
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

- AI Roboform Toolbar for Firefox 6.9.98
- Bing Bar 6.0
- Clip to OneNote 2.2
- Default Manager 2.2
- Evernote Web Clipper 3.0.0.82006
- Extension List Dumper 1.14.8
- Google Gears 0.5.36.0
- Google Toolbar for Firefox 7.1.20100723W
- Java Console 6.0.20
- Java Console 6.0.21
- Search Helper Extension 1.0

FaviconizeTaB
Firebug

@Andrew, I downloaded Extension List Dumper to do it.

@Toodledo: Here is some more information about the problem. It ONLY happens for me when the FIRST page that I try to access is
http://www.toodledo.com/views/folder.php. If I go directly to a different page such as /views/search.php FIRST then it lets me in just fine (assuming I am already signed in). Then I can even get to folders.php just fine without having FF hang. But if the first page I hit is folder.php it will hang FF 100% of the time. Weird.

FWIW, up until now, I had only tried to access toodledo on my Win7 64 bit laptop, but I just tried it on my desktop and my girlfriend's laptop and had the exact same problem on all three machines. They are all Win7 64bit and all using FF 3.6.8. And, the workaround I described above (access a page other than folder.php first) works on all three.

Thanks for all the additional information. We are still trying to reproduce this problem. There is one more thing that will be helpful for us. Can you please enable the Error Console from the Tools menu and then switch to the "Errors" tab and let us know if any errors appear when Firefox freezes on Toodledo?

Thanks

I am now at work and the problem also occurs here. Basically the same setup. Windows 7 64 bit, FF 3.6.8. That's all four of my machines! Here are the errors that happen prior to the lockup.

Here is the warning message I got in the Error Console in the Warnings tab immediately after Toodledo finally opened following the normal freeze of a few minutes:

"Warning: Unknown property 'text-overflow'. Declaration dropped.
Source File: http://images.toodledo.com/t/includes/views39.css
Line: 142"

There were approx. 150 such warnings. Here is an example of the contents of one:

[admin: edited for brevity]

Only the Warnings had "Toodledo" referenced. All the Errors were related to Tab extentions I'm running.

I hope this helps.

Warnings would not cause Firefox to freeze. Only errors.

If you are getting lots of errors for extensions, then that might be causing the issue. When Firefox gets an error (from anywhere), it can cause the currently loading page to have problems. Please try disabling the extensions that are triggering the errors and see if you can still get Toodledo to freeze.

Thanks
