Hey user50, I've been doing the same thing, for the same reason.

There are lots of good looking apps out there, but so far nothing that works with contexts and tags and folders.

What did you find?

I was recently doing a security review, checking which services were sharing my information with Facebook and was alarmed to see Toodledo on the list. I raised a Support Ticket and got this reply:

In short for advertisement we are using Google Adwords and Facebook. We also have retargeting campaigns with them. It is similar to other sites like when you visit the site, you see the ads of same site. It is based on the cookie.

For improving our services we use Google Analytics.

For payments we are using Stripe and Paypal.

At max, only Name and Email is shared among different services and we have to do that to track our conversions and improve on our services.

I’ve been a paid user of Toodledo for 10 years now and this is scary. Incidentally, I use different email addresses for Toodledo, Paypal and Facebook, specifically to partition my online activities. Yet my Toodledo and Facebook profiles have been matched.

Toodledo’s Privacy Policy does state:

By using Toodledo, you explicitly consent to, and authorize us to sub-contract in this manner.

I am located in Europe and thought the GDPR law does not allow this type of blanket consent?

Any security specialists on here – should I be worried?

This has been requested so many times over the years, I've almost given up...

However, as a work-round, could you at least change the colour of tasks which are:

Overdue
Due today
Due soon

They are all a similar shade of red (on my screen) and I can't distinguish which is which.

Thanks

Oh no...!

I've just manually changed every tag to my chosen sort order, then refreshed, then it's all reset to default.

1. Auto
2. Auto
3. Auto

I use the sorting feature to display tasks by:

1. Due date
2. Priority
3. Alpha

This has always just worked, but now it doesn't.

For example, I sort the contents of my individual Folders this way. Whether I look at all folders together, or pick out one, the tasks are sorted according to this criteria.

When I create a new Folder, it automatically inherits this sorting criteria.

But it doesn't work like that any more...

Now, I have to go into each folder, each context, each tag, etc and manually change the sort order. I've already done this twice, it seems to "unsort" itself after a while.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Love the new look but causing major problem for me.

I use Thunderbird tabs for Toodledo, but some things I click automatically opens up in Firefox.

Example: click on Star, click to show notes

Other things just open a "pop-up", ie when I click on date, context, etc.

This feature has always worked well, updating repeating tasks and rolling them forward.

However, it stopped working today.

I'm using Firefox, Thunderbird and SeaMonkey browsers.

Thanks

Where did I see this on the forum some time ago?

Someone described a way to force a sort order on - for example - tags, using symbols.

Such as:
! comes before .
. comes before #

So that, putting symbols in front of tag name helps with grouping/sorting.

Hope this makes sense to someone!

Thanks

How does the display feature setting "Row Style" work?

I've been experimenting with the option "Title is styled with due date" but it changes the colour of all my tasks approx two weeks into the future. I'd like to be able to see just my tasks overdue and due today, displayed in the different colour.

Ideally... I'd like to see colour coding as a feature in Toodledo. Any idea if/when this feature will be added?

I've done the survey and got the code, but won't be renewing until nearly April - can I still use the code then?

I use basic HTML for task notes and notes section (mainly showing certain items in bold).

However, sometime around 10th November all my HTML markup has been stripped out. All of it.

What happened?

I searched my backups and all was intact on the 10th - I'm using web interface and latest Android app.

Please fix, thanks.

Loving all the updates guys; good to see lots of development work on my fave app...

One thing that hasn't worked properly for a few weeks is copy/paste in Task/Notes field.

I've tried two ways - keyboard shortcuts and right-click mouse.

This facility used to respect new lines, but now pasted text is a jumbled mess and I have to manually re-insert new lines to copied text.

I have the official ToodleDo app on Android.

Also, it was a note I updated in the web version, then, next time I synced with the app, the updates were lost.

My understanding was that, whichever version of an individual task/note had been added or edited last, was the version that "won" when syncing. Is this not the case?

With the IOS app, I always used manual sync and never had a problem.

I’m using the Android app and a conflict between app and website resulted in loss of data from one of my notes.
I’d previously been using the IOS app for years and it has, IIRC, a syncing protocol to handle conflicts which the user can set.
Is this setting available on the Android and/or what can I do to prevent further loss?

I've used Toodledo forever and the functionality is great but lately I've found myself having to lash myself to the mast to avoid the siren songs of significantly prettier though less functional apps. I mean this thing is just butt-fricking-ugly. I see you've hired someone to improve the UI functionality but man, can you put a coat of paint on this thing while you're at it? Yea, I'm shallow. I mean, I prefer smart girls, I just want them to have a few front teeth.

+1
Also been here forever and head is constantly turned by other pretty/shiny todo apps, but keep returning to Toodledo - it's the best I've found so far.

Even the ability to colour-code would keep me sooo happy. Please...
