Hi,

1) I know, this is java which still doesn't detect correctly system proxies, unfortunatelly I cannot do anything about it.

2) Java again, printing feature is quite bad, a bug is already logged on sourceforge, will check what I can do.
For the moment, the easiest way is to copy the tasks you want to print, and paste them in Excel or Numbers for example.

Thanks Ben,

The copy paste to excel worked just fine!

Btw, System proxy was working perfectly fine on 1.0.5 & 1.0.6 ... I'm currently on 1.0.7 and am just about to update to 1.1.0

Love the way TaskUnifier is shaping up!

Dear Ben,

I have recently started using Taskunifier that is great. I have one question how the software deal with Completed Tasks.

1. With a free account, Toodledo will not display any completed tasks over 1 weeks. After that period, what will happen to completed tasks that are already synced to Taskunifier on the desktop?

2. In addition, with a free account, Toodledo will delete completed tasks after 6 months. After that period, what will happen to completed tasks that are already synced to Taskunifier on the desktop?

I prefer to keep all completed tasks, and I would like to know if the data that are once synced to your desktop client will remain there after the corresponding data are hidden/deleted from Toodledo online.

Thank you for your assistance.

Hi,

1. The tasks can be kept in TU (by default TU keeps tasks completed for 14 days, can be changed in Settings -> Synchronization)

2. Toodledo will send a "delete message" after the 6 months, so TU will delete them.

Thanks for your quick reply Ben. If that is the case, I am wondering if it is possible for TU to have a "local" functionality - For example, having a folder that is just local and not to be synced with the server, so one can put completed tasks from Toodledo in the folder before they delete them from the server, or one can put tasks that one does not want to sync with Toodledo server for whatever reasons. I would greatly benefit from such kind of functionality to save items that are to be deleted from the server.

This is just a suggestion for future update, but if you think this type of functionality is useful for people, please consider. Thanks again for your time for the development of useful software.

Ah... ok.
Doesn't show much info.

Could you send me ([email protected]) the log files ?

- Windows : YourUser\Application Data\TaskUnifier
- Mac : ~/Library/Application Support/TaskUnifier
- Linux : ~/.taskunifier

There should be 3 or 4 files containing "log" in their name.

And I advise you to try the latest version :)

Hi,

Thanks.

I think I understood the problem.
When you update TU, it checks if the current plugin is compatible with the new TU version. If not, TU downloads a new plugin.

There was a new plugin for TU 1.0.3.
But you rolled back to TU 1.0.2, and therefore kept the new plugin, which is not compatible with an older version of TU.

Go in the data folder of TU, then in the folder "plugins", and delete a file ending with .jar (something like bd6c451c-3f29-4675-8eb6-95ffbb668ee2.jar but with other letters/numbers)

Then start TU again, and go to Synchronize with...
and select Toodledo in the list.

But as I already said, it would be easier to update to the latest version ;)

Really strange...

Could you go in "plugins", delete the file ending .jar (something like bd6c451c-3f29-4675-8eb6-95ffbb668ee2.jar)

Then copy this file :
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16988318/TaskUnifierPluginToodledo.jar
into the "plugins" folder (you do not need to rename it)

Then synchronize again and send me again the log files ?

Thank you very much

Hi Benjamin,

first - thanks for wonderful app, it is actually the only one that allows offline sync to toodledo on linux, which is a must for commuters without mobile data...

I have 2 suggestions, no idea if they apply to other OSes as well. (if I am mistaken and it is already possible, please say so)

1. On startup, there is no possibility to avoid opening of the window of the app - it would have been wonderful to have it in starting script of X and start with clean desktop. (probably gnome/kde might handle this, but on lxde there is nothing to my knowledge - even alltray is buggy with java apps)

2. When I have the "minimize to tray" option on, it would be great if the trayed app would "survive" closing as most other apps. (this is default on linux, there is extra menu item "exit app" which is different from "close window") - btw, the icon does not show the "nike" sign as on task bar, but that's minor issue

Thanks and again - great work.
