The most obvious solution is to create an ad-hoc multiple location search, something like:
|Checked off|no and |Location|is|123 John Wayne Gaycey St or |Location|is|456 Kavorkian Ave or ..... That would give you your list for that set of locations. Of course, if you often travel to a certain series of the same locations, you could make a Saved Search for that scenario. |

I have a "a list of shame" too. And until I read this thread, I forgot somehow back along the way a technique I used, pretty successfully, for years, to minimize this list. Whenever I have a day where I have no immediately pressing priorities, I'd do at least one, maybe two off the list of shame. It worked pretty well.
With personal tasks, I minimized my list of shame by doing some of them whenever I had a 3 day weekend. Regular two day weekends aren't long enough! I'm going back to this old system what worked so well. |

Found this at TUAW today.

I read an article years ago about why M$ stopped giving printed manuals with their software. They did a survey, and found the 98% of the manuals were still in the shrink wrap 2 years after they were purchased. YMMV.

Not at this time. You need to delete the task after it's run it's course. This feature is on "the list".

At this time, TD does not have that capability.

Why don't you use Priority -1 for that? Why would you need a priority of -200 when all the others are between -1 & 4? And folders don't have priorities, at least not normally. You could create folders to contain tasks of a certain priority, but this would pretty much defeat the purpose of having both!

"there no way to filter by folder"
Not correct. If you go to the Folders view, you'll see all your folders listed, and you can select the one you want to see. Further, if you go to the Search view, you can create all kinds of custom searches, including searches that use Folder as a criteria. Most of us use Context to separate our personal from our work tasks. (BTW, Context isn't new, it's been a feature for years) And we use Saved Searches to do it. I suggest you look for Searches in the Help screens as a starting point, then search the forums. There are many interesting and enlightening threads about how to use filters and/or Saved Searches to get what you want. If you can't get what you want with TD, you probably can't get it at all. |

Not sure here, but I believe that "fourth Thurs" would have to be every fourth Thurs, not just in Nov. Don't recall TD accepting "fourth Thurs in Nov", but I could be wrong. I just tried entering it, and it converted it to "every fourth Thurs of the month".
I don't believe this is possible in TD at this time. |

The most obvious choice would be the Tags field, depending on whether or not you have other uses for that field and would it complicate tags too much. A second choice might be Folders, again, unless you have other plans for Folders. You choice also depends on how many cases you have going at one time. If you have lots of them, like more than 15, Tags are probably better.
You could also go with Goals or even Locations, since both of these allow any text entry. A number of people here use "Goals" as "Projects", so using them for Case Nos. would be similar. |

It was still on a couple of weeks ago, so I doubt it's gone now.

You want an "optional" due date. Put a ? in front of the date and it will roll over until the next day. If you search the help screens for "optional", there's more info there.

Salgud, I guess it takes you longer than 5 seconds to type "Toodledo" ... Probably about 10 seconds to type "Toodledo", 12 with the quotes. :) I'm not a very good typist. |

This is it, the big day we celebrate only every 100 years. Nigel Tufnel Day! Thats right, the man who said, "Our amps go up to 11". I think he deserves better. Great line, great movie.

You know that you can change this by selecting the Reverse sort order in the Filters dialog don't you?
