I think the nuance here is that if you upgrade, your history becomes available.

I'll be honest, since I joined the distinction between free and pro seems to have narrowed, but the app is definitely worth the 15 bucks for subtasks and enhanced reminders (really, it's like a 1.25 a month and helps support and encourage current operation and future development). I tell you it's the best 4 cents a day I have ever spent.

Depending on what browser you are suing, you might be able to find something over at userstyles.org to alter how it looks (firefox and chrome):

http://userstyles.org/styles/browse/all/https:%2F%2Fwww.toodledo.com

There are a couple of other color choices in the settings,

https://www.toodledo.com/account_edit.php (under color scheme)

but the list is not broad or really muted, except for maybe "inky"

Could be bloatware, different firewalls, different Antivirus or other security software that interacts with the data stream, different wireless cards, different interference from some device. Heck, maybe one was uploading/downloading something huge while the other was not.

Yeah, I concur. That was great test you did in mcdonalds. It isn't the web server, it's something environmental on your end.

You should still upgrade. I like subtasks.

Similiar to Salgud, I have work and no work related contexts, use folders for projects that are both related to work and no work projects.

Don't be shy about trying out a system, and then scraping it after you've gotten smarter about how you best track your own time.

Takes up to five different address as long as there is a due date and time, but it is a standard pro feature.(enhanced alerts)

@peterw

This is also and often my approach to tasks. There are some times when I use a folder, and then parent/child tasks, but on the fly, between folders, subtasks, and contexts, everything is handled.

Salgud, as a procrastinator, I would argue GTD helps. Once you get over the inertia to starting. It helps take the worry out of it. A large part of procrastination is wonder about where to start or worrying about worrying about where to start or thinking about worrying when to start... lol. For me, it makes my tasks very bite size and easy to get through with a sense of motion and accomplishment.

1) Orthodox I think, not over zealous "strict" or "loose" but according to scripture ;) lol

2) always around 150... never seems to go down or up, no matter how much I add or clear, when I am diligent or lax and off the wagon

3) about 70 in a one shot actionable items folder, 20ish in a couple of contexts.

4) No tagging

5) indefinite. I have repeated tasks for cyclical items. Some weekly, some annually.

6) No what ifs, but definitely a list of someday things.

OK, I'm not imagining this, but not sure how to reproduce.

Mark All as Read isn't always marking all as read. And some threads are still RED afterwards.

Saw this in Tips & Tricks, News, and just successfully tried it again in General Off Topic Chit-Chat (in this one, the first 4, ClockingIt, Better laws needed for better development, Political outlook of Toodledo users, Backup iPhone music, video, photo, ibook, ringtone, camera to Mac were red. After marking Mark All Read, Political and Backup were still flagged with new posts.

But not here in Questions. When I clicked Mark all Read, they were.

Hey, maybe it's just a Monday morning hallucination.

Ditto, I use contexts and some are most definitely work only related, I also use folders to manage my projects (others have other strategies) and some are just work related or home related concerns with contexts adding additional resolution (e.g. @phone)

What? OMG... what are they, Apple? Really, MS doesn't deserve any part of the mobile market.

Just google this some, Notes from Outlook won't synch either, and contacts requires Live or Hotmail... OK... they claim it is a cloud based phone...

Just adds fuel to what Jim said...

Honestly, seriously - the private meta-data is awesome.

It's one of the reasons I avoided other third-party apps (not that I don't like Toodledo's), but it seemed to me that that was the last thing I wanted considering how much I use the web interface...

That would be true, lol! Ever read Freakonomics? (Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything is a 2005 non-fiction book by University of Chicago economist Steven Levitt and New York Times journalist Stephen J. Dubner. The book has been described as melding pop culture with economics. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freakonomics they had quiet a bit to say about shark attacks and how coverage is disproportionate to the real threat)

But your news plays out here from time to time as well, though, yeah, AU of course get more coverage from BBC than the American Press (actually, so does US National News! Doh!) but how's that PM of yours working out? She pulling or pushing the great-national-censorship-cut-off-Australia-from-the-rest-of-the-world firewall still? (as a geek, this tends to be the news that matters to me, but the tsunami in Indonesia has also caught our attention a bit over here).
