+1, That make sense, The way it should be.
In the first place I'd want from toodledo a tasks location field. This message was edited May 16, 2010. |

lol,
http://www.rememberthemilk.com/forums/help/10341/ it's time to make the UI look friendly. More natural date parsing would help any RTM movers. |

the possibility to begin to translate also WEB interface ? We should begine to translate the most used words ... Unless something is done to design, it's actually easier to learn English than to learn how to use the web UI efficiently. My 2 cents. |

Well it's always been working perfectly, user of 2DO can use sub-tasks and more advanced stuff without a TD pro account.
Except we see added crap on our notes in the web view, I hope I'm not learning you this. |

Maybe having a beta tag would give some hope to newcomers, The way it is now, I fear it afraid many people into never comming back.

This is the worst of RTM, I think there is like 1000 post the thread requesting this, and some have provided the exact copy/paste code to do it, but still...

Overhaul is a tiny word, some small change could make such a big difference on the "WFT" factor, quite depressing.
Having to deal with that many userscript is complicated and even then it slow things down by adding a refresh phase. Thanks PeterW for the style list, This message was edited May 09, 2010. |

Have you made numerous test ? and synced manually ?
Posted by Jacks.dad7: try Ultimate Todo's. It's my favorite Toodledo Sync. It never has issues. It hasn't been updated since 1y ago, (no iPad) |

Jerry: good luck.
As I already complained about, this link open in the same windows that is of a "slim" size, (firefox sidebar) So you just can't see nor do anything. I really can't believe Jake is spending time answering everything. Hire some low wage from India and make them RTFM. GO FIGURE! |

Posted Apr 30, 2010 in: Taska iPhone app is very good
Score: 1
You had me buy it within a minute after reading "there has been an update every week or 2"
Here's my first impressions. (20 min in) This one put the work-flow above everything else. Easy and to the point ! 2do, todo, and toodledo (web) seams to just throw in features but neglect getting the basics right. That can end-up into one giant and ugly task bookkeeping apps that might soon produce scholastic graph of compounded rate of folder size vs task completed. (yes toodledo web I'm looking at you) Taska truly honor the idea of GTD with quick entry, efficient consultation, Inbox, Next and clever use of context with localization data. There is a permanent button on the bottom for going straight to context. How often do you look-up something to Do but not by first considering context . ? 2do: does not implement context whatsoever. Appigo: has a step too much when using context. Toodledo (app): see every data field as nothing more than "c:\context\don't_give_a\sh1t, akin to how little Windows explorer care about how it display "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mob...\SyncService\... Ps: Has sub-folders and allow for some flexibility. Dispatch / assign tasks This app can send and import task by email. And it work like a charm. If you have Taska installed, you can import the tasks into Taska by clicking the link behind every task. Toodledo want you to pay Pro for this but can't even deliver on it's app ! Appigo Todo allow edit to be made to multiple tasks at once.
One of it's biggest strength I could say. Thanks Claudio for this thorough comparison. |

Title should read,: "<2Do Meta> ... </2Do Meta>"
ThankYou for cooperating with 2do by filtering those out of notes. How do you feel with 2do apps users being able to use subtasks without paying for a pro account ? I think adding a <meta> field to task would help integration with 3rd party applications and spur innovation. I'd see my geolocation data going there. This message was edited Apr 27, 2010. |

Score: -7
Sub folder is very far from being a priority, I'm OK with that.
I don't see it like gordon on : This program just-plain-works... We are supposed to work with our systems, not on them. Toodledo has accomplished that. I used workarounds for the first year, ... 1. Some very basic feature are buggy and very awkward to use, So to me it does not "just work". 2. Some are working more on fixing the system than using it. Greasemonkey anyone ? 3. I don't see how selling the company would make things that worst. VIAGRA ? I'm OK with that Ps: Asking for small improvement in the forum is also a waste of time, That is for sure! This program just-plain-works which I can't say for most of the others. It is a delicate balance between having enough features, and having too many. We are supposed to work with our systems, not on them. Toodledo has accomplished that. I used workarounds for the first year, then I decided that this app is going to be part of my system permanently. If we don't pay HIM, they might (GASP) sell the company! Then ad banners show up, targeted ads that use your IP address, viagra ads, Yikes! WTF ??? Oh Sarcasm, I get it. +1 for your idea to sell the company Ps: nothing to do with subfolder This post has been hidden because of negative votes. Posted by Jon_R: (a red x for not done, green check for done, or unhappy face for incomplete, happy for complete. Or, simply text). One advantage of not having a simple selected or unselected box means that they could add an optional 'in progress' state. It made me think of my gmail setup, There is a plugin that allow you to have many more types of icons instead of the star, to change them you click repetitively on the star until you have the good one. Also you can install the GTDInbox plugin for gmail, that integrate mail to self into a complete tasks manager, If you set it up wisely it can be much more powerful and easier to use than Toodledo will ever be !!! (at this rate of improvement).. think google calendar, ect... This message was edited Apr 26, 2010. |
