Have you checked the "Sync notes with Outlook" setting in the Info section of iTunes when you connect your iPad to your computer? This is the only way of syncing your Outlook Notes with the standard built-in Notes app on your iPad.

Neither Toodledo nor the ToodledoSync application by Chromatic Dragon has any connection with iTunes.

I did a raw data export in XML format, and your import has an XML format option... so, I'm confused.
There's no universal standard for storing task data in XML format. Toodledo needs to "understand" the data before importing it.

Just as a matter of curiosity, take a look at the Wikipedia article on XML and you'll get an idea of why Toodledo can't automatically import the Basecamp XML file.

You can create a Search and specify "Via" is "Email Import".

This will give you a list of all tasks that you created via email.

Export your to-do list as an XML file. This is the best way to backup your data to your computer. This will export all of your tasks (completed and uncompleted) along with all of their information (including notes, and subtasks).

From the Help topic:
On the Reminders page in the Tools & Services section you can specify an email address, SMS address, Twitter account, iPhone, iPad or iPod touch that will get reminders for tasks that are due soon.

You can pick which tasks get reminders by clicking the "Remind Me" checkbox above the calendar when editing the task's due date. If you have a Pro subscription you can customize the lead-time for each reminder from 1 minutes to 30 days ahead of time.

Only tasks that have a due-date will trigger a reminder, if the reminder checkbox is checked. If your task doesn't have a due-time, Toodledo will use 12:00 noon as the default time by which it calculates the lead-time for the reminder.

Be sure that you have your timezone set correctly in your account settings, otherwise Toodledo won't know the correct time to send the reminders to you.

On a PC, use Ctrl+Alt+8.

BTW, in your task list, you can press ? to bring up help on the keyboard shortcuts.
