Maybe you have a 3rd party app with this setting. Currently, if you edit the same task in two places at the same time without syncing, it is not predictable which version will win. This is why we recommend leaving "Sync on Start" and "Sync on Edit" enabled, so that you never have a situation where syncing doesn't happen for a long time. Better sync conflict resolution is already built in for Lists, Outlines and Habits and we plan to build it for Tasks and Notes in the future too.

The emails are sent from [email protected] which is where the "remind" is coming from in the "from" column. If you add this email address to your address book with a name of "Toodledo" it will show that instead. We'll look into why this changed. Perhaps our email service is doing something different with the from address.

The daily hotlist email will have a subject of "Toodledo Hotlist for May 06, 2015"

There are two ways to purchase a subscription for someone else. 1) Sign out or use a browser where you are not signed in. Go to the subscription page ( http://www.toodledo.com/subscribe ) and select the item you want to purchase. On the next page it will ask you for the email address of the existing account that you want to upgrade. 2) Using your current account, go to the subscription page and pretend that you are extending your current subscription. On the next page, click the "Change" link and type in the email address of the existing account to purchase it for someone else. Then you can pick a different subscription level if you want.
