The Account menu in the upper right is where you mange account level settings and other tools on the website. The action menu below this (when in the tasks section) is for altering frequently changed display settings for the to-do list. This is why we keep them separated.

If you use our iOS or Android apps, you can get a reminder that appears on the screen and stays there until you dismiss it.

So its probable that the task you added went into a different list so when you searched the current list you were viewing, it wasnt being found.

If you use our new tasks section it works just like an app in the browser.

It sounds like you only want part of the "Hide future tasks" filter to be applied. I cant think of a reason why you cant put a task into a folder that starts with a number. I just tried this and it was working for me. Do you make that folder an archived folder by chance? This would remove it from the dropdown menus.

You can set your current location manually, by going to the Location page in the Organize section and clicking "Change Location". Then drag the red marker to where you currently are.
