Thanks for the suggestions. Task dependencies are something that we are considering for a future update.

For your "views" idea, I think we already do what you are suggesting. If you go to the context view and click on your "online" context and then sort by priority, this will set a cookie. Now, whenever you go to the context view (one click) it will already be in that view and sorted by priority.

Also, you might consider using notes HTML links and shopping lists.

Hope that helps.

We have not tested Toodledo on Windows Mobile web browsers, but this is something that we hope to do in the future.

Offline access is something that we have planned for the future. Right now, you can either print your list, or you can try using the Outlook synchronization tool that is available in these forums.

Subtasks are sorted using the same criteria as how you are sorting your tasks. So, if you are sorting your tasks by "tag" then your subtasks will also be sorted by "tag" which will cause any subtasks with a tag to appear above subtasks without a tag.

Hope that helps

The new star, status, and start-date fields can now be exported via the XML or CSV export tools (so you can make a backup of your data). These fields can also be imported via the XML or CSV import tools (so you can restore your data).

Adding files by email attachment is on our to-do list, but we have a few things that are higher priority.

You are correct that this does not exist. RSS feeds only exist for folders and for all tasks. Thanks for the suggestion.

If you have more folders than can fit across the top of the page, the extra folders will be stuck into the "More" link. There currently is no way to show all your folders on multiple rows, but thanks for the suggestion.

Also, there is currently no way to have dividers toggled closed by default, but having a "close all" button is an interesting idea.

Since iCal doesn't understand the difference between tasks and subtasks, we flatten it out. Tasks and subtasks are treated like the same thing when exported in the iCal format. If a task is not showing up on the calendar, it is probably because it's due-date is not set.

To add a subtask using the API, you need to set the "parent" field to the ID number of a valid parent task. A task is a valid parent if it is not itself a subtask.

Two tweaks just released.

1. Start date will now move forward along with due date when a task repeats.
2. the "hide deferred tasks" filter will now work for subtasks.

Importance is defined by a relatively simple equation. We had been keeping it as a trade-secret, but since it can be reversed engineered pretty easily, we might as well disclose it here:

Importance = 2+P+S+D

P=priority
S=is it starred (0 or 1)
D=0 if due-date is non-existent or further than 14 days out, 1 if due-date is between 7 and 14 days out, 2 if due-date is between 2 and 7 days out, 3 if due-date is tomorrow, 5 if due-date is today, and 6 if overdue

Within the two groups, there is no special treatment given. So, it is just for your own labeling purposes.
