It needs very precise text typed in. One of the magic words that Toodledo looks for is "Every" and when it sees this it starts to look for repeat patterns that look like this "Every [number] [time interval]" So "Every 3 months", "Every 5 days", etc. So for what you typed in "Every first Thursday of each month", all it sees is "Every ...... month" which it turns into "monthly". For what you are trying to do, omit the word "every" and instead type "On the first Thursday of each month"

As for the alarms, phone alerts only work on iOS right now and you have to setup the iOS app to receive alarms from the website for this to work.

Having a "hybrid" app can ease this pain, but comes with it's own set of challenges, mostly centered around performance. We have tried both paths, and are still thinking about which way is best for Toodledo.

I recommend using Toodledo in the web browser which will give you the best experience. In the future, this website will work offline in the web browser, so it will behave like an app. We are working towards this goal.

We don't have any capability to do this. It must be some sort of Browser plugin that does automatic translations of web pages, but I've never heard of that before.
