There are two ways to see Tasks by date.

1) Go into the "Due-Date" view by selecting this from the side menu. Then you can switch between options like 'overdue', 'Next 7 days', 'Today', etc.

2) Go into any list and sort it by "due-date". This will put dividers into the list to separate tasks by due-date. You can sort from the action menu.

If you choose the "Long Text" column then you can enter huge notes into each cell. Then to view them, you can click on that cell to expand the note and read it.

We don't have a direct way to link a row in a Toodledo List to a Toodledo Outline, but you could create a single column of the "URL" type and then copy and paste the url from the outline into each row where appropriate. This would give you a one click way to get from the row to the outline.

Salgud, It sounds like you are not confirming the match. You need to press the tab or return key when a match is selected in the menu ( you can use the arrow keys to change the selection if there is more than one option ). If you just press space, Toodledo thinks you don't want to confirm the match and actually want that text in the title of your task. When a match is confirmed it will turn blue. If the detail is not blue, it means it will be part of the title.

itp, yes you can add both start-dates and start-times via Smart Quick Add. type /Dec 25 and the popup menu will give you the choice of adding that as a due-date or start-date. Use the arrow keys to select the one you want and press tab or enter to confirm. You can do start-time the same way.

Salgud, we cant reproduce the erratic results that you are seeing. If you could please give us some example of tasks that you enter that don't get recognized correctly, that would help us. You can do this in a support ticket if you want it to be private.

The Habits section (and Lists and Outlines) will sync in the background occasionally, but if you open that section and wait a minute, it will do a sync right then. It may be that you weren't waiting long enough for the sync to finish and update the screen.

The Apple Watch app relies on the iPhone app to get its data. It will only refresh itself when the iPhone app is active. So, if you open our iPhone app and let it sync, then the Watch glance will update at that time.

In the future, we hope to get the glance to update in the background.

I am sorry, but Toodledo has never had a way to search both the task's title and task's note at the same time with one command. If you want to search both, you need to make an advanced search with the following criteria:

Task contains "my search"
OR
Note contains "my search"

We plan to enhance "Simple Search" in the future to search more than just the title.

That was a very strange Firefox bug. Fixed.

Also fixed is the IE Edge date bug

Also fixed is if you have already entered a folder (or whatever) it won't suggest folders (or whatever) when you type the next detail.

It looks like with Microsoft Edge, if your date has a slash in it, then it wont work. Other browsers seem to be ok. We'll work on a fix. In the meantime, you can type the date without using slashes. Instead of "/12/12/15" you can type "/Dec 12" or "/12-12-15"

Dave, Im sorry that the survey is not accessible. It is run by another company for us, so we don't have control over their accessibility. We'll see if we can find an alternative way to get your feedback.

It will show you the top 6 matches and it currently does not stop suggesting things for details you have already entered, but this is a good suggestion for a future enhancement.

For now, try typing something that is unique to the context. If the context is named "IBM - computer" and you have lots of contexts that start with "IBM" you can type "/computer" instead and it will find it.

The "Quick Add" box at the top of your to-do list has always been the quickest way to add a new task, and today we are making it even better. Introducing "Smart Quick Add".

With the same "Quick Add" box as before, you can now fill out the task's important details, using natural language, in one step without leaving your keyboard. To activate the smart interpreter, type a slash "/". Then continue typing the details that you want to add and Toodledo will automatically show you a popup of its suggestions. Use the arrow keys to highlight what you want and press tab or return to select the correct suggestion. Then keep typing more details. Press return when you are done and the task will be created along with all the entered details.

Examples:

Buy Groceries /tomorrow /High /Store /Errands
This will create a new a task named "Buy Groceries" that is due tomorrow with a priority of "High" and in your "Errands" folder and "Store" location.

Status Report /Every Friday /30 mins /Alice /Jack
This will create a new task named "Status Report" that repeats every friday and is estimated to take 30 mins to complete. It has the two tags "Alice" and "Jack".

If you don't want to use Smart Quick Add, it won't encumber you when quickly adding a task with just a title. It may take a few minutes to learn the new commands, but we think you'll pick it up quickly, and that you'll be able to add tasks with details much more quickly than before.

We currently don't have 4 levels of sorting, only 3. My suggestion is to sort by alphabetical, star and checkmark instead and then view individual folders one at a time (assuming you don't have many folders). Another option is to sort by folder, alphabetical, importance. Importance would likely put your starred tasks near the top and the checked ones at the bottom. However, you should know that if your second sort is "alphabetical" then any sort after this (star, checked) will be ignored unless the two tasks have the exact same title.

Thanks for the suggestion. I understand that you want to keep the sidebar closed all the time even if you click on one of the icons in the blue ribbon on the left. We will consider this.
