I just created a monthly repeating task on June 30th and when I completed it, it moved forward to July 30th. Are you using a third-party iPhone app instead of ours?

We have gotten a few reports of this, but have not been able to replicate the crashes on our iPhones. Can you please create a support ticket so that we can get some more information?

I just created a task called "Shave" with a start date of "today" and set to repeat "weekly from completion" and when I checked it off, the new start-date was July 9 (7 days from now). So, it seems to be working for me. Are you completing the task on this website, or via some third-oarty app that syncs?

Yes, alarms are currently not working for all people due to an iOS compatibility issue. We have already submitted an update to Apple that fixes this. Apple is running a little slow on reviewing updates now due to the fact that everyone is updating their apps to fix iOS 4 bugs.

How are you syncing your notes? Via the Chromatic Dragon third-party software, or via the CSV import tool that we have on this website?

I guess I don't understand what you are referring to when you say "push notifications" and "alarms" because I think of them as being the same thing. Maybe you can explain what the difference is.

We were very happy with the results of the Lifehacker survey. If you just compare the online task managers, we came in 3rd, which I am very pleased with, considering that there are dozens and dozens of competitors. We must be doing something right!

We weren't even on the chart a year ago. Maybe next year we'll be 2nd :)

Thanks for the suggestions. We can't comment on a timeframe for implementation, but these are on our to-do list.

This is because with iOS4 and multitasking, an app never really quits. It just goes into the background and remembers exactly where you were.

This is similar to your desktop computer. If you put your web browser in the background to work on another document and then switch back to the browser window, it doesn't reset, it just picks up where you left off.

The "start page" preference is only triggered when the app is started, which now happens very rarely. We are exploring ways to get this to work again. Perhaps by keeping track of how long it has been, and if you resume the app after X minutes, it does the start page, otherwise it keeps you where you were.

Each time you check it off, it moves it forward again, so that explains what is happening. Toodledo wasn't designed to be used from multiple web browsers simultaneously without refreshing the screen in between switching browsers.

This can happen if you have too many tasks. The iPhone app can't really support more than 5000 tasks and doing the initial sync can take 15 or more minutes to download and process all that information. Try reducing the number of tasks by deleting old completed tasks that you don't need anymore.

Yes, there is an iOS 4 compatibility problem with push notifications. It only seems to affect devices capable of multi-tasking (3GS and iPhone 4) running iOS4. We have already fixed this and submitted it to Apple for review/approval.

We are very sorry for the inconvenience. Apple changed a lot of stuff with iOS 4 and we are still playing catchup a little bit. The next update should be out soon and should resolve all the known (reported) bugs.

We don't have a droid app, so you must be using a third-party application. You'll have to ask that company how to add tasks via their app.

Due to the nature of how the iCal subscription works, it is only 1 direction. From Toodledo to Google, so it is not possible to get information from Google back up to Toodledo.

We have never experienced this. Perhaps you are pressing the tab key when changing a due-date, which would move the focus to the next field, which may be the priority field. Any other key that you press (like an arrow key) might then change the priority accidentally. Thats just a guess. Try pressing "return" instead of "tab" when editing a due-date if you think this might help.

For technical reasons on our side a task cannot appear more than once on a page, which is why we show tags grouped as they are. This only happens when sorting by tags. If you go to the tag view and use the tabs across the top of the page, the task will show up in each one.
