Warnings would not cause Firefox to freeze. Only errors.

If you are getting lots of errors for extensions, then that might be causing the issue. When Firefox gets an error (from anywhere), it can cause the currently loading page to have problems. Please try disabling the extensions that are triggering the errors and see if you can still get Toodledo to freeze.

Thanks

When sorted by any criteria (Importance for example) tasks that match on that criteria (Same importance) will be randomly sorted within that criteria unless you have selected second and third sort criteria. The slim website only supports 1 sort criteria, whereas the website supports up to 3, which is probably why they are sorting differently within each importance level.

It is not currently possible to pick a default sort criteria on the slim website, but this is on our to-do list.

Thanks for all the additional information. We are still trying to reproduce this problem. There is one more thing that will be helpful for us. Can you please enable the Error Console from the Tools menu and then switch to the "Errors" tab and let us know if any errors appear when Firefox freezes on Toodledo?

Thanks

Thanks for reporting this bug. I don't know what we did that broke reading notes, but we'll get this fixed ASAP.

You can't turn it off, but there are other ways to get the list to refresh, for example, you could click on the Toodledo tab that you are already on. Or you could reload the page. Or if you have keyboard shortcuts enabled you could press "R".

Yes, this is what we are going to do. We already rename files when they are reassigned by a collaborator, to prevent someone else from clobbering your file, but we plan to make it more straight forward for your own files as well.

I think what you are saying is that the "All Tasks" tab in each view (Main, Folder, Context, etc) is the same. This is correct. The value to the different views is for the different tabs within each view. If you always look at your entire list, then it doesn't matter which view you are in.

But, I'm a bit surprised that you consider PocketInformant and 2DO as competitors, given that they sync with Toodledo. I guess that means that a big chunk of your revenue comes from your iPhone app, and this explains why so many of your updates have been to the app rather than to the website. And, the ultimate value of Locations will be in the mobile apps, right?

It is pretty obvious that PI and 2Do are competitors to us on the iPhone, but they are also valuable partners to us in terms of the entire ecosystem. We don't see the word "competitor" as a negative thing. We wanted to make a good experience for all of our customers, and since we have a number of PI and 2Do customers, we wanted them to be able to sync their locations to Toodledo and be able to access them from the website as well. This was one factor in our decision.

You are correct that the ultimate value of Locations will be with location aware mobile apps. This exciting area of development is just getting started and we wanted to be part of it.

The reason why you are seeing a lot of iPhone updates recently is because we now have a full time iPhone developer. So, we've gone from maybe 1/5th of a person on the iPhone to 1 whole person. That means more gets done. Also, the iPhone app is still pretty immature so it is easy to make quick progress.

If you want to retain data longer than the longest retention time on Toodledo, you can use our export tools to save the data to your computer.

If you are having trouble with Firefox, please post the version that you are using, and a list of the plugins that you have installed. Also, if you have to do anything in particular to get it to happen, please include that. You can create a support ticket if you prefer.

Thanks

We can't fix a problem if we can't reproduce it. We use Firefox all day long and we have not yet encountered a slowdown, but we will continue to try different configurations and scenarios. If you could provide a list of the plugins that you use, that would be helpful.

Thanks

The only place where text messages are sent is in the "Reminders" section of our "Tools & Services" page. If you have disabled this, then the messages must be coming from somewhere else.

If you have synced your list with a calendar, they might be coming from the calendar program.

The Outlook Sync tool was made by a third-party developer. Please contact them for support with their product. They can be reached at : http://www.chromadrake.com/ChromaticDragon/software/ToodledoSyncInfo.aspx

It is probably related to the number of tasks that you have and the speed of your internet connection. If you have several thousand tasks, it could take a little while.

Sorry, but our validation script cleans all HTML inside notes for security reasons. A different way to open links in a new window is to option+click on the link.
