We have been working on this all day. It took us a long time to figure this one out. The crash does not occur on any of our test devices with any of our internal builds of the app, which is why this didn't turn up in our testing. The crash only happens when using the official App Store version of our app and the only difference that we can see is that the App Store version has some compiler optimizations turned on. We have turned these off and are submitting a new version to Apple and are requesting expedited review of our app. Or testing indicated that it might be the "timer" field that was causing the crash, so you might try disabling this field in the settings section and see if that helps. Again, very sorry. We are working hard to fix it.

The "Quick search" feature runs on your computer, not on the server. It's speed will be dictated by the speed of your computer and then number of visible tasks that need to be searched. The advanced search page runs on the server and so the speed of that is dependent on our servers.
