We plan on having much better reminder capabilities in the future, but for now, you can get reminders by visiting the "Connections" page and looking under "Email Reminders". The daily hotlist email can also server as a reminder and you can adjust the hotlist settings to your liking.

Yes, I would also recommend using folders or a second account.

I think we found the bug and have fixed it from happening. What was happening was that if a parent task had no uncompleted subtasks, it was being converted into an ordinary task without subtasks.

This will no longer happen in the future, but we were unable to retroactively undo any parents that became untoggleable because of this bug. If you have one of these orphaned parents, you can fix it by adding a dummy task to the parent (as you already figured out). Adding a dummy task forces it to reconnect with all its lost completed subtasks. You can then get rid of the dummy task.

Thanks for reporting this bug. Sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

Interesting ideas. Thanks for the input.

In response to #3 from your post, the "due-time" is used as the start time on the calendar. This is because (we have found) that most people that use the due-time field are doing so to mark the start of a meeting and the length to signal the length of the meeting. So "Planning meeting, 2:00pm, 60mins" means that an hour long meeting starts at 2. Not that an hour long meeting ends at 2.

We understand that you are using this in a different way, "Project due by 5:00pm, length: 6hours" In this case, the time is the end time. I acknowledge that for this scenario, the task is incorrectly represented on the calender.

Many people have suggested having a separate start date/time in addition to the due date/time and this would solve your problem and is something that we will probably add in the future.

You can't do this, but its an interesting idea that we'll think about for a future update.

Thanks

Well, if you have to click 300 checkboxes and then hit a "delete selected" button, that is not any more convenient than clicking the delete button 300 times.

What we may implement is to have some options on the search page to mass delete/edit all the tasks that match a particular search. This would save clicks, and would probably accomplish what people want in an efficient manner.

Well, you can't really do this exactly like you are describing, but you could look at the "All tasks" tab and sort by the repeating column. All of the tasks that have a repeat of "none" would be put at the bottom.

Hope that helps

Unfortunately, there is no way to mass-delete a selection of tasks. If you want to delete ALL of your tasks and start over from scratch, you can do this from your account settings page.

Hope that helps

You might also consider removing columns that you don't use to make it fit better on a smaller screen. You can remove unused columns in your account settings.

Hope that helps

An ability to archive a context is something that we don't support yet, but its a good idea. If you delete a context, all of your tasks that have this context will be set to "no context", so you probably dont want to do this.

The only way to do this currently is with our API, but you would need to be a programmer or know a programmer. We have this on our to-do list to consider in the future.

That is very strange. I just sent email from both Gmail and Apple Mail containing umlauts and it worked fine both times. Can you please forward one of your "problem emails" to "admin at toodledo dot com". That way, we can take a look and see if there is something funny with your emails that we are missing.

Thanks

Setting the folder/context/etc cannot currently be done with Jott, but this is something that we are thinking about for the future. You can find our Jott documentation here: http://www.toodledo.com/info/help_jott.php

Perhaps you were thinking about our email-import tool, which has these abilities.
