Yes, you can accomplish the same thing in two different ways. This was done for historical reasons because we initially did not have start-dates (8 years ago) so we had just the due-date modifiers and then added the start-dates later and couldn't take away the modifiers because many people used them. You are free to use whichever method you prefer.

The lists were not deleted, they just go temporarily hidden. What you need to do is sign out of Toodledo and then sign back in again and all should be restored. Sorry for the inconvenience.

If you enable 2-factor authentication you will need to use an app-specific password for our iOS app. You can create one on this website and then go into the app and enter it instead of your regular password.

If you have a subscription, you can use subtasks on the iPad. This has been available for about 2 years. The limitation is that you cannot move subtasks on the iPad, but you can view, create and edit them.

Thanks for the suggestions. We do not comment on timeframes for implementation, but these are on our to-do list.

Thanks

Unfortunately, the email parser is somewhat primitive and cannot understand multi-word contexts. Certainly the & cannot be used in a context name because the & symbol itself is a special symbol used for importing another field. Improving the email parser is something that is on our to-do list, but I do not have an ETA at this time.

You may be able to make a saved search that runs the reports that you are trying to do to send to your supervisor.

You could use the status field and set it to "waiting" or "delegated". You could also use the notes field to annotate your progress on each task.

This would have to be integrated into our Android app. I will investigate this and see if it is possible.

If you lose your phone, you can disable 2-step authentication by having Toodledo send you a confirmation email with a special link inside.

We are working on updating our iOS app to support it. For now, please make an app specific password for the iOS app.

1) When you setup 2-Step authentication in the settings section, it will walk you through getting the app. There are apps for both iOS and Android.

2) After you setup 2-Step authentication in the settings section, there will be an option for creating an app specific password and it will explain how to use it with Ultimate ToDo list or any other app you may be using.

Yesterday we deployed a small change to Lists. It seems that something in that deployment caused some people's web browsers to get into a weird state. Signing out and then in again would correct the problem. We are looking into what caused this so we can prevent it from happening again. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Today we are announcing 2-Step authentication for Toodledo, which is a way to greatly increase the security of your account by requiring your password plus a one-time code that is generate on your phone. A hacker would need to physically have your phone in order to sign into your account. You can enable this in your account settings.

We have also been working on other security enhancements this year, including the following:

1) You may have heard about the Heartbleed vulnerability a few weeks ago. When it was revealed, we immediately checked all of our servers and determined that we were never affected by Heartbleed, so no action by us was necessary and no action is needed for our customers. That said, it is always a good idea to change your passwords on a periodic basis, and to avoid reusing the same password on multiple sites.

2) Over the last 6 months we have spent a considerable amount of effort implementing "at rest data encryption". This means that your data is encrypted in our database on our servers. So if a hacker ever got access to our database, they would just see gibberish and would not have access to your private data. Much of our user's data is now encrypted in this way and we plan to encrypt more as we are able.

3) We have implemented password guess throttling. If someone tries to sign into your account too many times with an incorrect password, your account will be locked for a period of time. This is to prevent a hacker from trying a million different passwords to sign into an account.

4) We have implemented some protections against clickjacking, cross-site-scripting and cross-site-request-forgery attacks.

You need to go into the collaboration section in the Tools menu above. Then click on your collaborator and then set it so that she has permission to see those folders.

This may help: http://www.toodledo.com/info/sharing.php

Sounds like your browser's cache got into a strange state. Try signing out of Toodledo on Chrome and then sign back in again. That should restore your Lists in Chrome. If not, please open a support ticket and we will investigate.
