There is a blackberry app called TaskJot that you might want to look into.

Or, use our mobile webpage: www.toodledo.com/slim

Thanks for the suggestion. We can't comment on a timeframe for implementation, but this is on our to-do list.

Toodledo shouldn't be doing anything with the function keys. I'll have to look into that.

I like it. I think that it is a 90% replacement for a laptop computer. The fact that it doesn't burn me (like my Macbook Pro does while watching video) is a big bonus.

We don't have the time to monitor the "General" forum. There is a thumbs up/down voting system that you can use to hide unwanted messages.

Thanks for pointing out the omission of the # symbol. As far as note length, you need to use a POST if you want to update a long note since the GET method has a 2000 limit (depending on the browser)

Apple has just posted version 1.6.1 of our iPhone/iPad app. This is a bug fix update for the iPad.

* Fixed bug where "Contact Us" link didn't have "to" address filled in, on iPad
* Fixed bug where the app would occassionally crash when selecting a subtask from a popover menu on iPad.
* Fixed restoring state to where you were last time on iPad
* Other minor iPad fixed

There is one known bug that was not fixed in this update because we didn't find it until after we submitted this update to Apple. This bug causes the app to crash in certain situations on the iPad when editing a task in portrait mode. For now, if you want to be sure to not encounter this bug, you can use the app in landscape mode when editing tasks. We have fixed this bug and submitted it to Apple already, so it should come out as soon as Apple reviews it.

We are sorry for the bugs in the initial iPad release. We didn't have an actual iPad to test on until last weekend (the same day as everyone else), so we have been working hard this past week to test, debug and fix everything.

Now that we have had an actual real-life iPad to test with, we (and some of you) have found a few bugs with our app. One of the bugs is that selecting a subtask from the subtask popover menu would occasionally cause the app to crash. We have fixed this bug and submitted it to Apple for approval (4 days ago).

Today we found another bug which we have fixed, but we need to wait until Apple approves our first update before we can submit a new update. This bug is easy to avoid, so here is a description: In portrait mode only, when you navigate to a task via the popover list from the toolbar button, if you edit the task in such a way that the list must be updated, this may cause a crash. For example, if you have your list sorted by due-date, and you edit a task's due-date, this causes the list to need to be re-sorted. In portrait mode, the list is hidden, and when it tries to sort, it crashes. The work around is to use landscape mode when editing a task that would cause the list to be refreshed. We have this fixed and will get it out to you as soon as Apple allows us to.

Sorry for the bugs.

If you use an AppID with the API and then let us know the AppID via a support ticket, we can lift the limits for you.

Toodledo 1.6 will work on iPhone 3.0 and up.

With regard to the list on the left and the details on the right. We followed Apple's guidelines for presenting list data. If you look at Apple's apps (Email, Notes, Settings) this is the way they do it, and the way that they recommend.

That said, now that we have an iPad we are already making notes for better ways to take advantage of the screen. I have no problems admitting that our iPad app was a rush job that was as close as a translation to our iPhone app as possible, partly because Apple only gave us two months to work on it, and because we didn't have an iPad.

We will make improvements.

Thanks

George,

The updated versions are there. It sounds like you are using third-party software on your iPhone. The company responsible for those apps will need to do their updates. Our iPhone app is located here: http://www.toodledo.com/info/iphone.php

Sorry, this cannot be undone. Are you using Toodledo's official iPhone app, or are you using a third-party app? If the later, you might try contact that company.

It isn't currently possible to record the number of times you have completed a recurring task. Thanks for the suggestion.

One way to sortof do it is to use Goals and assign each task that you want to track to a different goal.

It isn't possible to add the private folder automatically. Sorry.

But it is possible to privately share specific folders with different collaborators. You can set this up in the sharing section.

Palm has locked up the data file that is exported from Palm Desktop. We had spent considerable effort to reverse engineer the older data file, but now we have been unable to reverse engineer the new format.

There may be some way to export a different file, or use a third-party converter to get your data into the CSV file format, which is a standard format that we can read. I know that it isn't easy, but we don't currently have a better solution.
