We released a Big Redesign last week and we received a lot of positive feedback. We also received a handful of bug reports and complaints which we have been quickly fixing and addressing. Today we are releasing a number of improvements that should resolve most of the remaining issues.

1) The biggest complain so far has been the removal of the feature that allowed the left sidebar to be hidden. Fewer than 5% of you used this feature, plus we reorganized things to put important information into the sidebar, so we didn't think that this was an issue, but you let us know and we listened. You can now hide the left sidebar again. This is now an account setting under the "Display Preferences" subheading. With this enabled, the left sidebar will magically hide and reveal when your mouse moves near it.

2) We had temporarily removed the feature that made the title of a task bold based on it's priority. It is back now with some possible customizations. In your account settings, there is a new setting called "Row Style". You can now pick how the title is styled. It can be unstyled, it can be styled according to the priority or it can be styled according to the due-date. You also have the option to have completed tasks styled with a line crossing it out.

3) The new calendar view has received a filter that allows you to pick which sorts of dates appear on the calendar. You can pick to have only due-dates appear if you want. Or you can also show start-dates or inbetween dates. We have also fixed a few small bugs with the calendar dots being displayed incorrectly in some scenarios.

4) When clicking on the "Tasks" tab or pressing the "R" keyboard shortcut to refresh the list, the task count badges on the sidebar will also refresh.

5) On the homepage, before you sign in, you can now press the "return" key to open the signin box and it will place the cursor into the first box for convenience.

6) The warning that appears when you have a browser plugin that might interfere with Toodledo has been improved and become less intrusive.

7) Fixed a variety of other small bugs.

We welcome continued feedback and bug reports via support tickets and questions in the Questions forum. This thread gets too full for us to directly answer questions here.

Enjoy!

This is a quirk with Outlook. All the other calendars do it correctly. We are trying to find a way to work around this issue, but we haven't found a solution yet.

I sort by "Importance" and then give important dateless tasks a high priority.

If you clear the filters, then it will also clear the "recently completed" filter. To only clear some of the filters, you'll need to click the "Show" button in the toolbar and clear them one by one.

Thanks for the suggestion. We can't comment on a timeframe for implementation, but this is on our to-do list.

So, if you complete the task at 3:56pm, the next version of the task will be due at 3:56pm?

Its difficult for us to solve a problem that we can't replicate, and so far we haven't experienced these problems, but we'll keep trying.

People need to see what they are clicking. We already dim the font to make it more subtle. If you really want it hidden you could make a custom stylesheet with this rule

.dim{color:white;}

I haven't tested this, and I can't help you make the custom stylesheet, but Google should be able to assist you.

This error means that Pocket Informant is syncing too frequently and our API has shut it out to prevent abusing our servers. Please contact the company that makes PI for support with this issue.

It is 8M, but this should not be possible with only 45 tasks since there is a 32k limit per task note.

There is no restriction on this, but you should know that if two people edit the same task at the same time, you might get unpredictable results. Only the last edit will actually be saved.

You can export as a CSV file, which can be easily read by Excel. It won't maintain the the subtask behavior though because subtasks require nested columns, which isn't supported by CSV or Excel. For example, if you indented the subtasks, then all of their columns would be off by one when importing. The due-date would go into the folder column, and the folder column would go into the priority column, etc.

If we don't print "no context" or something in that spot, then there would be nothing to click to add a context to that task.

It could be that you are running a search that is return a lot of results (over 1000) and this takes a long time to download. You could also check if there are any errors being reported.
