I'll consider it. It was a bit of work to keep track of all that and I wasnt sure that many people were reading it.

The Notes section works offline. The new Tasks section will work offline very soon. The Habits, Lists and Outlines sections work offline if the browser window is already open with the page already loaded (we are working towards improving this). The rest of Toodledo (forums, help section, tools, etc) are not offline capable yet.

You can also use any of our apps, or any 3rd party apps that sync with Toodledo for offline access.

This morning, our hosting company (Rackspace.com) suffered a widespread outage that took down hundreds of websites including our own. It even took down their own website for a time. There was nothing that we could do about it except to monitor the situation. It appears to have been resolved and we'll try to get more information today about what happened.

Here is Rackspace's description of the issue:
https://rackspace.service-now.com/system_status/

We are very sorry for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

Right now, you can only have the subtasks either hidden or showing. It isn't possible to have them showing only if certain criteria are met.

That is correct. Each person needs their own account.

If the invite says that it is expired it either means that they took to long to click the link, or it could mean that their email program cut the link off, so it wasn't the full link. What they can do instead is just go into their Toodledo account and go to the Collaboration page where they will find the invite waiting for them. They don't need to click the link in the email. It's just a shortcut to this page anyway.

To remove a collaborator you need to go into the Collaboration page and click on their name. Then uncheck all the checkbox for the things that you are sharing with them. Once you unclick all the checkbox they will no longer have access to anything and it will remove them.

Your question is about a 3rd party tool that syncs with Toodledo. Please contact the company that makes that software for assistance.

When it did not work, what exactly happened? Did none of the changes take effect, or only some of them? Did you flip the switch to the "on" position for the context/folder you were trying to edit?

If we were to show every future version of a repeating task, some lists on Toodledo would contain a large number of copies of the same task. For example. if you looked at a specific folder that happened to have a daily repeating task, would you want to see that task copied a bunch of times with every future date? Or if you were looking at the "Next 30 Days" list would you want to see that task copied 30 times?

I can see the desire to see the task if you are specifically looking at the "today" or "tomorrow" list or if you click 1 specific day from the calendar, but even then, it becomes complicated. What happens if you check off a repeating task for a future date when dates in the past have not yet been completed? Do you keep those older uncompleted tasks on previous days or do you assume that if you did it today, yesterday's version of that task doesn't matter anymore. Should it get deleted or completed?

This really gets at one of the fundamental differences between a to-do list with tasks that get rescheduled, and a calendar with events that repeat. Its subtle but slightly incompatible.

Our API allows each app to make 1000 API requests per hour, per user. Each API call can edit up to 50 tasks or download up to 1000 tasks. So, each hour you can edit 50,000 tasks or download 1,000,000 tasks before being restricted. We feel like our API restriction is very generous and should allow for any app to sync whatever it needs to sync while at the same time protecting our servers from abuse. I will reach out to 2Do and see if we can work something out.

There was a bug in our experiment that caused the pages to break at 10 tasks, which I agree is ridiculous. I have fixed the bug so pages now break at 200 tasks. The advantage that this gives is that lists load faster now. We're trying to find a tradeoff between pages loading fast and with enough information to be useful. Those people that like to load 2000+ task lists will notice a big improvement when the pages thing is turned on. So please give us some feedback now that the pages are a reasonable size.

With the old "Add Task" form you have to click the "due-date" box for the calendar to appear. With the new "Add Task" form, you do the same thing. It just looks a little different. So it should be the same number of clicks.
